摘要: The source material is transported from the cartridge (1) to the deposition head (2) and then, it is melted by the melting device (4), and deposited using the deposition head (2) to the form of the product (3), and solidifies. Melting, depositing, and solidifying of the source material takes place in gas protective atmosphere flowing from a protective gas source (7) outlet (8). The protective gas heats up in a controlled way by the heating device (9) to a temperature being higher than the ambient temperature prior to contact with the source material. A portion of the heated protective gas may be transported by the outlet (8) to the source material cartridge (1) for pre-heating and/or purging of the source material by the protective gas. Further, it may be used for the pneumatic transport of the powder source material by the conveyor (10) to the deposition head (2). At least a portion of the excessive deposited powder source material non-adhered to the product (3) may be transported back to the powder source material cartridge (1) for repeated deposition by the deposition head (2).

摘要: To improve the operation of 3D printing systems, techniques are disclosed for a rotary 3D printer comprising: a main rotating support table rotating about a first axis and one or more secondary support tables rotating around a non-coaxial secondary axis; a powder supply assembly for distributing powder onto the tables; and an energy system for directing an energy beam at the powder to form a part. The main support table and secondary support tables can rotate in the same or opposite directions. Disclosed techniques include: grooved support table surfaces for improving stability of applied powder; reciprocating bellows for controlling a differential load on actuators that move the support tables; high temperature bearings or bushings for supporting rotary motion at high temperatures; and a mechanism for counterbalancing a weight of the part being built.

A flow of inert gas is used to maintain a high-purity volume in the interior of the volume enclosure. A print head accesses the interior and delivers build material through a hole in the sealing plate. A build plate is movable relative to the sealing plate within the interior of the volume enclosure on which objects can be fabricated.

Um ein solches Verfahren zu verbessern, wird vorgeschlagen, dass ein Sauggebläse (9) mit einem Saugleitungsanschluss (12) vorgesehen wird und dass mit dem Sauggebläse (9) sowohl der erste Verfahrensschritt als auch der zweite Verfahrensschritt durchgeführt wird, wobei der Betrieb durch eine dem Sauggebläse (9) vorgeschaltete Umschalteinrichtung (13) umschaltbar ist. Weiter betrifft die Erfindung eine Vorrichtung zum Betrieb einer Metall-Druckeinrichtung.
