    Abstract: A press brake assembly configured to bend a work piece that includes an upper beam configured to hold an upper punch and a lower beam configured to hold a lower die. A safety latch is disposed within a safety latch cavity of the upper punch, and the upper punch is partially housed within a first cavity of the upper beam. A biasing member is also disposed within the safety latch cavity. A pin extends from a lateral side of the upper punch through the safety latch, and the safety latch is configured to rotate about the pin. The safety latch includes a cam configured to engage the upper beam within a second cavity of the upper beam. The biasing member is configured to bias the cam in a forward direction towards the upper beam cavity to prevent the upper punch from disengaging the upper beam.

    Abstract: A waste treatment machine is disclosed, having a safety sensor which generates an alarm signal to stop the motor (7) when the requested torque exceeds a certain threshold, but has a gear with a friction transmission belt (8), i.e. not a toothed belt, between a driving pulley (9) and an idle pulley (10) connected to a shaft (6) for squeezing/ grinding waste. The friction transmission belt is tightened so as to slip when a nominal maximum torque is exceeded. The protection sensor is configured to detect slippage of the friction transmission belt and to provide in such an event an alarm signal to a control unit that interrupts a normal running of the motor. The organic waste treatment machine may be a single-worm screw (4) or double-worm screw squeezing machine, or a grinding machine with hammers (13) pivoted at the periphery of a shaft installed in the inner chamber of the machine. A method of controlling such a machine for treating waste is also disclosed.

    Abstract: Method for the actuation of mechanical moulding presses with a movable upper operating slide and a fixed lower press plane respectively carrying the mould and counter-mould, wherein one or more clutches are provided which intervene during a moulding operating cycle in a respective coupling point of a kinematic mechanism which transforms a rotary drive motion into an alternating linear motion of the operating slide. According to this method, a first coupling point is set for said clutch(es); during a first stroke of a complete moulding step, a verification is effected for controlling whether at said first coupling point there is a request for an actual moulding torque or not; if a torque request is present, there is a signalling of its presence and of a specific area in which this torque request has occurred, stopping the press; a second coupling point is then set, before the first coupling point, when the mould of the upper slide is further away from the lower press plane; the movement of the slide is then restarted and verification continues, allowing the implementation of the complete moulding process when there is an absence of torque at the last coupling point set.
