Abstract:
The invention concerns a wetting vessel (6) designed to contain an element made of absorbent material (8) saturated in its lower part with wetting liquid and comprising means (80) for decanting pigments if any contained in said wetting liquid. In accordance with one possible embodiment, the decantation means are studs (80) whereon is set the absorbent material and the vessel (6) has a lid (7) defining an open wetting compartment for the absorbent wetting material (8) and a drying compartment including a drying absorbent material (9) set on a base forming a sieve. The paint can comprises a series of paint blocks (4) arranged so as to provide projecting each side by side a paint surface constituting a common dipping surface for a paint brush (4d) of the type comprising a foam dipping spatula.
Abstract:
A coating combination suitable for use in coating architectural surfaces which comprises in combination a lidded (2) container (1) for a coating composition, a coating composition (3) provided within the lidded container, and a buoyant coating contacting member (4) including at least one aperture (5) disposed substantially horizontally within the lidded container, wherein the buoyant coating contacting member has physical properties selected from at least one of shape, density, number of apertures, and total area of apertures such that the buoyant coating contacting member is buoyant on the coating composition and submersible within the coating composition to the extent that under a downwards force from a coating applicator (6), a portion of the coating composition is allowed to flow through the at least one aperture such that the coating applicator can pick up the coating composition.
Abstract:
A profiling device (1) for removing excess hardenable filling material from a complex surface, such as the damaged surface of a vehicle body, comprising an elongate body (5) having a core (2) which allows the body to bend, under manual pressure, preferentially in one plane and which retains its arcuate shape once bent manually to that shape, and a parallel blade (9) depending in the bending plane from a longitudinal edge of the elongate body, the width of the blade being less than the width of the body.
Abstract:
Paint stirrer with an elongate narrow main shape, which under the action of gravity can stably stand in a diagonal position in a paint can without the need to mount it to the edge of the can, characterised in that the brush can be stably supported relative to the paint stirrer in such a manner that the brush hairs extend substantially parallel to the paint stirrer and downward above or in the opening of the can. This offers the advantage that paint rests flowing out the brush, stay inside the can.
Abstract:
Holder (2) for a strainer (3), which holder is provided with an inlet opening (4) and an outlet opening (5), wherein a feed-through direction (D) extends from the inlet opening to the outlet opening, wherein the holder is provided, adjacent the outlet opening, with a lower edge (6), which lower edge is provided with a supporting edge (7) at an angle to the feed-through direction, which supporting edge is designed for bearing, in use, on an edge of a receptacle (9) for the material to be strained, which lower edge is also provided with a collar edge (10) extending away from the inlet opening at an angle to the supporting edge, and at the outside of the supporting edge.
Abstract:

Abstract:
The present invention relates to a spatula for stirring paint and additive colour paint, scraping a paint container and opening a paint container. The spatula is provided with at least two side recess parts, of which at least one side of each is limited by a surface which is mainly perpendicular to the length axis of the spatula, characterised in that the distances between two equivalent surfaces of at least two side recess parts and one end of the spatula are different. A spatula with this feature benefits from the fact that the distances between the side recess parts and one end of the spatula may correspond with the height of the inner surface of at least two paint containers with different heights. Therefore the spatula is very well suited for several types of paint container. Furthermore, this spatula can be provided with an extending part, which is made of metal and which at one end is provided with an anchoring part which is secured to the spatula.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a tool, such as a spatula (1), a trowel, a knife or similar, for applying coating material such as an adhesive, a filler, equalising material, a dispersion, paints or a similar material, comprising a handle area (2) and particularly, a metal blade (3), whereby an anti-adhesive coating (4) is applied to at least specific areas on the blade (3). The invention aims to provide a tool which has improved properties with regard to applying the coating material. According to the invention, the coating contains components such as metal particles, glass fibres, carbon fibres, soot, molybdenum disulphide and/or polymers such as polyimede, polyether ketone or polyphenyl ether sulphide which increase its resistance to wear and/or the thickness of the coating (4) is between 5 mu m and 250 mu m, particularly between 10 and 50 mu m and/or the surface roughness of the coating (4) is less than 10 mu m, preferably less than 2 mu m.
