Abstract: A system includes a source (102) that provides air, a first compressor stage (112) that receives the air from the source and is configured to compress the air to a first pressure, and a second compressor stage (114) that receives the air from the first compressor stage and is configured to compress the air to a second pressure. The system also includes a first component (104), a second component (106), valves (236, 238) that control flow of the air, and a controller (122) that is configured to control the valves according to a first control mode, in which the air is supplied to the first component by the first compressor stage, and a second control mode, in which the air is supplied to the second component by the second compressor stage.

Abstract: The invention is in the field of suspension systems for motor vehicles. In particular it relates to enhancing passenger comfort while maintaining vehicle performance. A suspension system for a vehicle is provided, comprising a first suspension assembly having a resilient member and a second suspension assembly having a resilient member wherein the spring constants of the resilient members of the first and second suspension assemblies are adjustable by means of a control system to control the ride height of the vehicle and to correct for the roll of the vehicle, wherein the control system includes a mechanism for detecting the roll state of the vehicle and increasing the spring constant of one of the resilient members while reducing the spring constant of the other resilient member to reduce the roll of the vehicle.

The air suspension further includes fast down leveling valves disposed within the air supply system block.

Abstract: A suspension system may include a pneumatic spring at each wheel of a vehicle. The suspension system may be configured to determine and achieve a pressure set point in each of the pneumatic springs and a target ride height at each wheel of the vehicle. The pressure set point may be determined based on a load at each of the wheels and the center of gravity of the vehicle, such that upon reaching the pressure set point at each in each of the pneumatic springs, a target load and target ride height may be achieved at each of the wheels of the vehicle. The system may also be used to level the ride height of the vehicle and/or achieve a desired orientation.
