Abstract: A chassis mounting unit (11) for mounting a bearing bracket (5) to a vehicle chassis (1) comprises a mounting plate (12) to be attached to an overhead longitudinal chassis beam (2). The mounting plate (12) is adapted to mount the bearing bracket (5) against. The bearing bracket (5) is adapted to pivotally mount a trailing arm (6) of a wheel axle suspension to the chassis (1). The chassis mounting unit (11) furthermore comprises a transverse strut beam (13) having a first end (13A) welded to the mounting plate (12) and has an opposite second end (13B) to be attached to an overhead chassis beam (3), wherein the transverse strut beam (13) extends transversely to the mounting plate (12).
