Abstract: According to an example aspect of the present invention, there is provided a method of treating a fibrous raw-material containing cellulosic fibres and polyester fibres, comprising the steps of subjecting the raw-material to acid treatment and to a washing operation, subjecting the washed first modified fibrous raw-material to an alkaline treatment to dissolve at least a portion of the polyester fibres and to form a second modified fibrous raw-material that is subjected to separation to separate solid matter from an aqueous liquid phase comprising dissolved material, recovering the solid matter of the separation, subjecting the recovered second modified raw-material to a washing, subjecting the liquid phase to a first filtration step using a micromembrane to obtain a first aqueous permeate, subjecting the first permeate to a second filtration step using a nanomembrane to obtain a second permeate, recovering the second aqueous permeate and recycling it to an alkaline treatment step.

Abstract: The invention of the present disclosure concerns a loose fill insulation that can be produced from different types of plant fibers as well as a process for producing said insulation material. The insulation material has good heat-isolation properties and can be applied with a blow machine in voids in buildings and in attics. The process method solves several known problems with loose fill, and the material can be produced in an energy-efficient way. The insulation material is provided with a high heat-inertia, minimum convection and good sound-proofing ability. Fire-retardant substance is mixed into the fiber material and as a consequence speed of spreading of fire is reduced. The hygroscopic properties of the raw material are conserved, since the material is not exposed to high pressure, chemicals, water or high temperature. The loos fill insulation can be compacted into bales that can be easily handled making storage and transport more efficient from a volume perspective than for existing isolation materials. Upon application with blow machines, the formation of dust is reduced compared with existing loose fill insulation materials. The material does not cause itching as do numerous existing isolation materials, and upon inhaling of particles the same health risks as for stone wool, glass wool or traditional cellulosic materials are avoided. Fungicides, formaldehyde or pesticides are not needed to be mixed into the material.

Abstract: Non woven fabrics are provided that include a mechanically entangled blend of fibers comprising (a) post-consumer recycled polymer staple fibers (PCR-staple fibers) and (b) one or more additional fibers, in which the one or more additional fibers are different than the PCR-staple fibers. The PCR-staple fibers are mechanically entangled with the one or more additional fibers to define the nonwoven fabric.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a packaging material for use in a pouched product for oral use in order to enclose a filling material. The packaging material is a saliva-permeable nonwoven material comprising fibres. The packaging material is a wetlaid nonwoven material, or, alternatively, the fibres are carded and the nonwoven material is hydroentangled, or, alternatively, the fibres are carded and the packaging material has a basis weight ≤ 30 g/m2. 50%-100% of the fibres are cellulose-based staple fibres, and 0%- 50% of the fibres are thermoplastic fibres, with % numbers being based on total weight of fibres at 21°C and 50% RH. The packaging material further comprising at least 10% of a binder, taken as a wt% of a total weight of the packaging material. The present invention also relates to a pouched product for oral use comprising such a packaging material. The present invention further relates to a method for manufacturing of a packaging material for a pouched product for oral use.
