Abstract:
A thin brick system and method for forming a thin brick wall includes a matrix in which channels are formed for receiving a plurality of thin brick units. The thin brick units are bonded to the matrix using mortar and the same mortar can be used to fill spaces between adjacent bricks. The matrix may be attached to a substrate using fasteners. The channels can be formed in the matrix on-site.

Abstract:
A structural member includes a first meshing element having two prisms disposed in a side-by-side arrangement wherein a space between the prisms defines a first meshing element engagement cavity. Each prism in the first meshing element is connected to an adjacent prism via an arm of a hinge disposed intermediate the prisms. The structural member includes a second meshing element having two prisms disposed in a side-by-side arrangement where a space between the prisms defines a second meshing element engagement cavity. Each prism in the second meshing element is connected to an adjacent prism via an arm of a hinge disposed intermediate the prisms. A prism of the second meshing element is configured to be retained in a first meshing element engagement cavity and wherein a prism of the first meshing element is configured to be retained in a second meshing element engagement cavity such that the first and second meshing elements are movable into locking engagement and each meshing element extends substantially parallel to the other.
Abstract:
A framing system has a plank member with ribs protruding therefrom and a frame member with a receptor pocket therein such that the rib of the plank member is resiliently engaged within the receptor pocket of the frame member to secure the plank member to the frame member. The plank member may also be laterally moved relative to the frame member such that the ribs slide within and engage the receptor pockets. The invention is also directed to a method for engaging the plank member with the frame member along with a method for fabricating the frame member.
Abstract:
According to the invention, by producing wall ties for use in the building of double walls from a wire (2) with a rough (5, 6) surface, the cohesion with the mortar will be considerably increased for the reason that the whole of the built-in part of the tie constitutes an anchor. The roughness (5) is preferably in the form of projections (6) that extend from the core (2) of the wire, said projections being evenly distributed along the whole surface of the wire. The projections (6) can be placed in several rows which extend in the longitudinal direction of the wire, and these projections can be arranged in an angular manner for achieving the maximum holding power.
Abstract:
A partition wall panel for assembly with another partition wall panel of like shape to form into a partition wall for commercial and residential building, said partition wall panel comprising: a first panel having a plurality of edges, a pair of which being protruded from the surface of the panel and at the edge thereof; and a channel being formed between the two protruded ends; wherein the first partition wall panel combines with a second identical partition wall panel in such a way that one of the protruded edges of the first partition wall panel is located within the channel of the second partition wall panel and the other protruded edge of the first partition wall panel is located within the channel of a third partition wall panel, whereby the protruded edges of two identical second and third partition wall panels are moveable within the channel of the first panel, such that two narrow slits are formed by the slanting slopes of the channel of the first partition wall panel and the slanting slopes of the third and second partition wall panel.
Abstract:
The invention comprises a product. The product comprises a foam insulating panel having a first primary surface and an opposite second primary surface. A removable concrete form is spaced from the foam insulating panel and a concrete receiving space is defined between the second primary surface of the foam insulating panel and the removable concrete form. A method of using a hybrid insulated concrete form is also disclosed.
Abstract:
A modular wall fastener (100) and a bracket (200) for modular wall construction are disclosed herein. In a described embodiment, the fastener (100) includes a pin portion (100) insertable into aligned apertures (408,409,418,419,428,429) of the modular wall panels (400,410,420) and a clip portion (108) configured to fasten the modular wall panels (400,410,420) together to form a primary face (302) of the wall (300). The bracket (200) is then mounted to inner surfaces of the modular wall panels (400,410,420) for supporting an opposing modular wall panel for forming a secondary face (304) of the wall (300).
Abstract:
Abstract:
A structural rib (1) for a wall construction assembly, comprising a stiffening web (2) and first (4) and second (6) flanges at each end of the web, the first and second flanges being attachable to respective wall panels, the structural rib further comprising a supporting fin (48) extending from the web portion in a substantially lateral direction thereto.
