Abstract: A gasket system for an electromechanical locking device includes an inner gasket for the door facing surface of the device. The peripheral edge of the inner gasket and the peripheral edge of the housing of the device include complementary step features that interact to compress the peripheral edge of the inner gasket to seal the housing and mitigate air and water flow into the locking device. Some embodiments of the device include an "L" shaped front gasket that is compressed between stepped features of two portions of the housing to further mitigate air and water flow. Openings in the gaskets for lock components are circumferentially surrounded by compressible ribs that extend from the surface of the gasket. The compressible ribs are compressed against the surface of the door preventing air and water from migrating through openings.
