    Abstract: Device for accoustic and/or thermal insulation comprising: a first rectangular sheet 101 made of a flexible foam material having a first density, wherein said first rectangular sheet 101 has a first length in a longitudinal direction and a first width in a lateral direction, wherein the first width is substantially equal to the external pipe circumference of a tubular pipe; a second rectangular sheet made of a flexible solid material having a second density, wherein the second density is higher than the first density, wherein said second rectangular sheet has a second length in said longitudinal direction and a second width in said lateral direction, wherein the second length is substantially equal to the first length; wherein a first lateral edge of the first sheet and a first lateral edge of the second sheet are connected to each other; wherein the second width is larger than the first width; wherein a strip shaped section adjacent the second lateral edge of the second sheet, extending on a side of said second sheet which is facing towards the first sheet and/or a strip shaped section adjacent the first lateral edge of the second sheet, extending on a side of said second sheet which is facing away from the first sheet, is provided with an adhesive, for connecting the second lateral edge of the second sheet to the first lateral edge of the second sheet when the device is mounted on the pipe.

    Abstract: Ventilation duct connector piece for connection with ventilation ducts or connector pieces, formed by two complementing parts (10a, 10) providing a flow space (4) and having at least two open ends (12), each part (10a, 10b) comprising a fibre layer (2) and an inner layer (3), wherein - the fibre layer (2) comprises mineral fibres and a binder, compressed into a desired shape, the fibres having a melting point over 800 degrees Celsius, - the inner layer (3) is a stainless-steel foil having a thickness of 0,01-0,3 mm, facing the flow space (4). A method of manufacturing the connector piece wherein the steel foil is pressed into two complementing parts, joined along its edges; a binder solution is sprayed on a fibre layer and compressed into two complementing parts under heated conditions, so water evapo- rates, whereafter two fibre parts are positioned on the two steel foil parts.

    Abstract: Insulation fill materials, articles comprising these fill materials, and methods for manufacturing these fill materials, are disclosed. An insulation fill material may include a volume of base fill material and a multiplicity of platelets three-dimensionally dispersed throughout the base fill material. Alternatively or in addition, the insulation fill may include a sheet of base fill material having at least one outer surface, and a multiplicity of platelets applied to the at least one outer surface. The platelets may preferably have at least two flat-planar facets, and may comprise a metal core layer having a first face and a second face opposite thereof. The platelets may include a first film layer disposed on the first face and a second film layer disposed on the second face. Outer faces of the film layers may include polyethylene terephthalate. Articles such as apparel, sleeping bags, and bedding may comprise the insulation fill material.
