    摘要: Methods and apparatuses for loading, removing, accessing, positioning or preserving one or more items in a presence of dry ice are provided. The apparatus includes a tapered container that has a barrier-like structure which can partition the inner volume of the tapered container into an internal product storage volume and a dry icechamber. Each of the regions remain substantially undisturbed during handling, operation, use and transport of the tapered container. Methods for selectively introducing dry ice into the dry ice chamber of the tapered container and engaging the barrier-like structure within the tapered container can be achieved with a novel guiding assembly apparatus. The methods and apparatuses are particularly useful when loading and retrieving one or more items in the presence of dry ice for tapered containers that have single restrictive access openings and/or other characteristics which make access and handling difficult.

    摘要: Cooling installation (3) for cooling a storage chamber of a transport vehicle, comprising a fan (4) and at least one cooler (5,6) having an upper cooling plate (7) and a lower cooling plate arranged within a housing (9) so as to form an upper cooling duct (10) between the upper cooling plate (7) and the housing (9) and to form a lower cooling duct between the lower cooling plate and the housing (9), wherein for each cooler (5,6) a respective cooling flow path (12,13) is formed, along which a gas can: • - enter the cooling installation (3) via an inlet, • - flow from the inlet to the respective cooler (5,6) via the fan (4), • - flow through the respective cooler (5,6) by flowing through the upper cooling duct (10), from the upper cooling duct (10) to the lower cooling duct, and through the lower cooling duct, and • - leave the cooling installation (3) via a respective cooling outlet (15,16). With the described cooling installation (3) and method a storage chamber of a transport vehicle (1) can be cooled in a particularly energy efficient and safe manner, with a particularly effective temperature control, reduced risk of damaging products stored within the storage chamber (2) and with a particularly high durability of the cooling installation (3). This is due to an indirect cooling obtained with a coolant such as carbon dioxide snow.

    摘要: A passive refrigeration apparatus comprising: (i) a container defining a cargo space; (ii) a liquid carbon dioxide cylinder; (iii) a control valve, in fluid communication with the cylinder; (iv) a controller for activating the control valve to control the flow of liquid CO 2 ; and (v) a heat transfer assembly within the container, in fluid communication with the control valve; wherein the heat transfer assembly has (a) an expansion section for receiving the flow of liquid CO 2 ; and (b) an expansion chamber bounded by a heat transfer surface in thermal contact with the cargo space; wherein the expansion section allows the vaporization of the liquid CO 2 into the expansion chamber to create a mixture of carbon dioxide snow and CO 2 , thereby cooling the cargo space via the heat transfer surface.

Die Temperierung und die PCM-Elemente (4) werden so konfiguriert, dass sich nach dem Anordnen der PCM-Elemente (4) in dem Behälter (2) die Behälterinnentemperatur in dem Sollbereich einstellt. Die Erfindung betrifft außerdem ein geeignetes Transportbehältersystem (1) zum Transport eines temperatursensiblen Gegenstands in einem Sollbereich einer Behälterinnentemperatur.

    摘要: Standalone and self-contained cooling systems using compressed liquid and/or gas CO 2 containers positioned in an insulated or non-insulated vessel and consisting of a specially designed unit where the containers are vertically positioned in an upright or upside-down position. The liquid and/or gas CO 2 coolant is then released into capillary tube(s) embedded into a heat transfer plate or heat exchanger thus leveraging the CO 2 coolant properties. The temperature is controlled by a metering CO 2 releasing system encompassing an electronic control device which can be operated remotely and/or via a touch screen and which sends alerts when pre-defined thresholds are exceeded. The invention's metering CO 2 releasing system may be triggered by an electronic or a thermostatic valve or may be triggered manually or by an electronic solenoid. The invention's cooling system also encompasses check valves, which avoid liquid and/or gas CO 2 from escaping when removing or replacing CO 2 containers individually.
