Abstract: This disclosure provides systems, methods and apparatuses for efficient signaling of feedback regarding communications of a relaying operation. In some aspects, a relay node may defer feedback regarding reception of a first communication until relaying feedback regarding the payload of the first communication, thereby reducing overhead and signaling burden. In some aspects, a relay node may skip the transmission of feedback regarding the first communication altogether, either on the assumption that the link between the relay node and the first wireless node is reliable, or on the basis of the first wireless node being able to infer the reception of the first communication based on subsequent communications. In some aspects, a relay node may be enabled to skip forwarding of feedback from a second wireless node, such that the first wireless node can infer that the payload was received if no negative feedback associated with the payload is received.

Positive or negative hybrid automatic repeat request acknowledgements are received (404) from the group of apparatuses in response to transmitting the inter-UE coordination request and monitoring of inter-UE coordination requests of the at least one other first apparatus are monitored (406) based on the received acknowledgements from the at least one other first apparatus

Abstract: Apparatuses, methods, and systems are disclosed for improved communications using relay over sidelink radio interface. One apparatus (600) includes a processor (605) and a transceiver (625) that transmits a data packet via a sidelink interface, where the data packet is transmitted to a first UE device and a second UE device. The transceiver (625) receives (810) a first HARQ feedback from the first UE device and receives (815) a second HARQ feedback from the second UE device. Here, the first HARQ feedback indicating a decoding status of the data packet at the first UE device and the second HARQ feedback indicating a decoding status of the data packet at the second UE device. The processor (605) determines (820) to stop transmission of the data packet in response to at least one of the first and second HARQ feedback being a positive acknowledgement.

The method (600) includes transmitting (608) the first data packet from the first user equipment to the second user equipment. The second user equipment generates a second data packet at least based on the mapping information, the second data packet includes sidelink data for the third user equipment, and the second user equipment transmits the second data packet to the third user equipment.

Abstract: This disclosure provides systems, methods, and apparatuses for supporting network transmissions using unicast sidelink communications. A base station (BS) may transmit a set of encoded packets to a number of user equipment (UEs) and receive feedback messages from the UEs that indicate sets of decoded packets. Based on the feedback messages, the BS may transmit an updated set of encoded packets based on a difference between the set of encoded packets and the union of decoded packets. The BS may transmit an instruction to a first UE to transmit a unicast sidelink communication to a second UE that includes a set of missed packets that includes one or more decoded packets that were decoded by the first UE but were not decoded by the second UE. The first UE may transmit the unicast sidelink communication to the second UE.

Abstract: This disclosure provides systems, methods, and apparatuses for retransmission of a communication by a relay node based on a failure of a target node to receive the communication. In some aspects, the relay node may determine that the second wireless node has failed to receive the second communication, or an upstream wireless node (such as a distributed unit) may determine that the target node has failed to receive the communication. The relay node may retransmit the communication based on such a determination. In some aspects, the relay node may buffer the communication or information used to generate the communication, and may retransmit the buffered communication. In some aspects, a configuration for the retransmission may be modified based on a capability of the relay node or another concern.

Abstract: In a wireless network where a first data flow is transferred via a first path between two endpoints, a node buffers a second data flow. At least one of the two endpoints is in the wireless network. The first and second data flows comprise a same data. The node is in a second path between the two endpoints. In response to receiving indication the second data flow should be activated, the node sends buffered second data flow through the second path. A first node in the wireless network sets up the first and second data flows. The first node selects a second node in the second path to buffer the second data flow, and indicates to the second node that the second node is to buffer the second data flow and send data through the second data flow in response to receiving indication the second data flow should be activated.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. In some communications systems, interference may impede signaling between a base station and a target user equipment (UE) such that a base station may identify a donor UE to relay communications to the target UE. The donor UE may receive a coded data packet from the base station, and may identify a radio network temporary identifier (RNTI) scrambling code for the packets addressed to the target UE. In cases where the donor UE identifies that the packet has an RNTI scrambling code associated with the target UE, the donor UE may forward the coded data packet to the target UE base on the RNTI scrambling code. Such early detection of data packets addressed to the target UE may allow for the UE to forward a data packet without fully decoding the packet.

Abstract: Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for wireless in-vehicle networking. A method that may be performed by a device in a vehicle includes wirelessly transmitting a data packet directly via a first device-to-device (D2D) communication link to another device in the vehicle; monitoring for an acknowledgment (ACK) of the data packet; deciding whether to retransmit the data packet to the other device, based on the monitoring; and wirelessly transmitting the data packet to a transmission relay, wherein an intended destination of the data packet is the other device, wherein the monitoring for the ACK comprises monitoring for a first ACK from the other device and a second ACK from the transmission relay.
