The present invention relates to a robotic maneuvering system for maneuvering objects by means of an adhesive attachment. The robotic maneuvering system comprises a gripper finger connected to a gripper arm. The gripper finger is configured to grasp an object to be manipulated, by means of an adhesive contact. The gripper arm maneuvers the object to a desired location and the gripper finger releases the object at the desired location. The present invention also relates to a corresponding method.

A method of forming a pouch, comprising:adhering an oxygen scavenger to a pouch material, the pouch material being gas and moisture impermeable;enclosing a consumable item within the pouch material; and joining ends of the pouch material to form a sealed inner cavity. The sealed inner cavity contains the consumable item and at least one first portion of the oxygen scavenger.

Die Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren zur Herstellung eines Siegelrandbeutels (160) mit einem darin gelagerten Laminatverbund (141), eine Vorrichtung (10) zur Herstellung von Siegelrandbeuteln gemäß diesem Verfahren sowie einen nach diesem Verfahren hergestellten Siegelrandbeutel (160). Der Laminatverbund wird von einer eine Trägerfolie (110) mit darauf angeordneten, mittels jeweils einer Abdeckfolie (136) abgedeckten Substraten (130) aufweisenden Laminatverbundbahn (140) abgetrennt. Ein Zwischenkörper (165) wird der Laminatverbundbahn oder dem Laminatverbund zugeführt oder in die Trägerfolie eingeformt, sodass der oder die Zwischenkörper sämtliche freie Oberflächen (133) des Substrats zumindest bereichsweise umgeben. Der Laminatverbund und sämtliche Zwischenkörper werden zwischen zwei Packstoffbahnen (61, 62) eingeführt. Die Packstoffbahnen werden miteinander versiegelt. Abschließend werden die Siegelrandbeutel (160) vereinzelt. Mit der vorliegenden Erfindung werden ein Verfahren und eine Vorrichtung für die automatisierte Herstellung von Siegelrandbeuteln sowie ein derart hergestellter Siegelrandbeutel entwickelt.

A slurry product is packaged into a plastic bag using a modified form-fill-seal apparatus. A method for making a plastic bag filled with a desired weight of a slurry material on a form/fill/seal machine, includes drawing a plastic film over a mandrel of a form/fill/seal machine and wrapping the film around a forming tube. A tube of plastic film is formed by bonding the edges of the film together and the bottom of the tube is sealed. An initial weight is obtained by weighing the mandrel and the tube of plastic film then a slurry composition is deposited inside the closed tube. The present weight of the mandrel, tube of plastic film and contents of the tube are monitored as the slurry is deposited, and the present weight and the initial weight are compared until a desired weight is reached. After the desired weight is reached, the filled bag is sealed and separated from the tube of plastic film.

An improved method and apparatus for providing end seals on vertical stand up packages that prevents pleat formation and gusset variation. A clamping device is mounted below sealing jaws. A bottom end seal is made by the sealing jaws to form an open-ended tube. The open-ended tube is moved downward. The clamping device engages the tube to prevent twisting when product is placed into the tube. Product then enters an open-ended tube of flexible film packaging and the top seal is made.

This is a high-speed, multi-lane machine and method for the continuous forming, filling and sealing of plastic or film pouches of various sizes commonly used to hold fluids, liquids, and viscous materials or other substances. The machine includes a film roll station, a pump station, a side seal station, a pull wheel station, a cross seal station, and a cross cut station. The invention provides for continuous production of pluralities of pouches without stops or delays by utilizing one or more moveable reciprocating carriages that travel with the flow of film through the machine, the carriages supporting each of the side sealing, cross sealing, and cross cutting stations. Coordination of the various stations is accomplished through electronic computer control, working in conjunction with a plurality of motion imparting devices such as servo motors, cam systems, linkages and the like. The various components of the machine are adjustable so that pouches of various lengths and/or widths may be formed using the same machine.

The invention concerns a machine for forming packages with a film (F) having matching sealing sections (300), which comprises: means for feeding, on the film (F), sealing means (300) including two support webs (310, 320) provided with a first longitudinal assembly (302) consisting of two matching sections (312, 322) and a second longitudinal assembly (304) arranged spaced from the first, means (160, 330) for urging together the support webs (310, 320) and two rectilinear guides (170, 180) capable of penetrating respectively in the space between each pair of the side edges (315, 325; 316, 326) of the support webs (310, 320). The invention also concerns a method, the resulting packages, and the sealing means therefor.
