In an embodiment, the claimed invention includes an oral-fluid collection and testing device that. is simple to operate. The device includes a body assembly and a cap assembly that are easy to handle by a user. A collection sponge projects from an end of the body assembly for absorbing the oral fluid of a donor, A cap assembly is easily aligned with the body assembly by way of visual alignment indicators on both the body and the cap. Once the cap is aligned with the body, a user simply pushes the cap onto the ‘body, which causes a first stage fluid, flow. More specifically, a buffer fluid is released from the cap and mixes with the oral fluid collected on the sponge—After waiting a short time* the cap is rotated, then pushed again, causing a second-stage fluid flow in which the sponge is compressed such that the buffer fluid/oral fluid exits the sponge and flows toward a. pair of test strips. A user can then easily view the test results by observing a visual indication, such as a color change of the test strips through a viewing window.

A private overlay network is introduced into an existing core network infrastructure to control information flow between private secure environments. Such a scheme can be used to connect a factory automation network linking operations devices to a corporate network linking various business units, with enhanced network security. Such a connection can be facilitated by introducing into the existing infrastructure a set of industrial security appliances (ISAs) that work together to create an encrypted tunnel between the two networks. The set of ISAs can be scalable to overlay differently sized core networks, to create the private overlay network. Connections to the private overlay network can be managed by the ISAs in a distributed fashion, implementing a peer-to-peer dynamic mesh policy. The industrial security system disclosed may be particularly advantageous in environments such as public utility systems, medical facilities, and energy delivery systems.

A server receives a SYN packet and generates a SYN packet signature from the SYN packet. The server generates multiple aggregate signatures for the SYN packet signature that each include a generalized value for at least one element, where each aggregate signature has a different level of specificity and corresponds with a different fingerprint table. The server sequentially iterates through the fingerprint tables starting with the most specific aggregate signature and the most specific fingerprint table until a match exceeding a counter threshold is found, if any. If an aggregate signature does not match a fingerprint in a fingerprint table, the aggregate signature is added to that fingerprint table and an initial value for the counter is set. A bytecode using an attack fingerprint as input is generated in a form understandable by a network filter, and installed in a network filter.
