Methods and systems, including computer programs encoded on a computer storage medium can be used for identifying primary-wave (P-wave) and secondary-wave (S-wave) characteristics of an underground formation by separating P-wave and S-wave modes of seismic data generated by applying a seismic source to a subterranean region of a geological area. Particle motion vectors of a P-wave are parallel to a propagation vector of the P-wave, whereas particle motion vectors of an S-wave are perpendicular to a propagation vector of the S-wave. The parallel and perpendicular relationship between the motion and propagation vectors of the respective P- and S-waves provide a basis for separating P- and S-wave components from a wavefield. The separation methodology extracts P-wave components and S-wave components from the wavefield based on an estimated angle between propagation vectors and wave motion vectors for the wavefield.

A closure assembly includes a top, a base, and a follower. The top includes a plurality of top teeth extending from the inner surface and arranged around a fluid orifice. The base is coupled to the top, wherein the top is moveable relative to the base. The base includes a central hub defining a cam path. The follower includes a plurality of top follower teeth engaged with the plurality of top teeth of the top and a plurality of base follower teeth disposed in the cam path of the base. The top and the follower are biased away from the base, and depressing the top relative to the base causes the follower to rotate relative to the top between an open position in which a fluid flow path is open to the fluid orifice and a closed position in which the fluid flow path is closed to the fluid orifice.

An envelope may include an envelope body having a first pair of substantially parallel edges that extend in a transverse direction and a second pair of substantially parallel edges that extend in a longitudinal direction, a face, and a back defining a pouch. The envelope may include a first region of the envelope body that is partially detachable from the envelope body along a line of separation to form a base support member. The envelope may further include a second region of the envelope body that is partially detachable from the envelope body along a line of separation to form a connector support member. The connector support member engages the base support member when the base support member is partially separated from the envelope body to form an easel feature in a display position. The envelope may also be incorporated into methods for displaying an envelope body.

A re-useable partitioning seal used storage containers creates a virtually airtight chambers, to preserve products therein. A disc or differently shaped layer, with flat top and bottom surfaces, is configured to fit against the interior surface of a storage container. A thin, flexible perimeter forming a gasket around the layer, and a handle attached to the layer without fissure or cavity, thereby providing and a single piece, inexpensive re-useable partitioning seal.

A container has a base flange on a base, and a lid flange on a lid. When the container is in a closed position the lid flange and the base flange are in juxtaposition and one of the flange edges defines a flange support surface. A lid surface is spaced above an upper base periphery when in the closed position to define a lid volume, and the base section defines a base volume. The flange support surface extends a first distance such that when the volume of the container is loaded with a rated capacity of product and the container is placed in a standing position on a flat surface using the flange support surface and a front base corner as support elements, a center of gravity of the container generates a moment about an axis of the base corner that biases the container in the standing position.

A method of applying a linerless label to an article wherein a web of joined labels is die cut from a web of label material in which the adhesive is protected by a water-soluble coating which provides a cushion between an anvil and die cutting means. The water-soluble coating is at least partially removed by exposure to water in a press following die-cutting, in a label applicator, or in an off-line unit. The web of joined labels may be wound and unwound between each of the above options. The web of joined labels may be separated in a label applicator by breaking a weakened boundary between adjoining labels or by cutting at a boundary between the label and the adjoining label. The linerless label may contain anti-counterfeit means that may be subsequently identified overtly and/or covertly.

The invention discloses a system for hole making for an aircraft skin by normal positioning and locking. The hole-making system includes a posture adjustment part, a normal positioning and locking part and a hole-making execution part. This system solves the problems that the device in the prior art has high complexity and cumbersome positioning and does not adapt to complex curved surfaces, thereby failing to satisfy the needs of efficient hole making in different space states. In the present invention, the expansion of an outer expansion sleeve in a bottom sleeve locks a normal direction for hole making, thereby ensuring the positioning accuracy of the normal direction. An axial position is locked by the mutual cooperation of an axial positioning groove of the bottom sleeve and an axial positioning rib of the outer expansion sleeve. A hole-making auxiliary cylinder contracts to counteract part of an axial force for hole making.

Flying machines may be docked during charging or other processes. A tray having multiple docking areas is configured to accommodate flying machines for transport and docking. The docking areas may, but need not, include passageways which may accommodate charging stations. For example, a storage enclosure may be configured to house one or more trays, configured to interface to corresponding charging surfaces. Protective layers and vibration dampening features may be used to soften impacts during storage and transport. A charging station may include electrical terminals, recesses, and locating features for docking a flying machine.
