In-place conversion of a fragmented MP4 (FMP4) file into an MP4 format without having to create separate files is discussed herein. Audio and visual data is captured by a multimedia application and stored an FMP4 file with an initial moov atom and one or more fragment headers assigned to portions of the audio/video data. Once a capturing session is completed (e.g., user stops recording audio and video), the FMP4 file is converted to an MP4 file by attaching a final moov atom to the FMP4 file and changing the header designation of the initial moov(i) atom from “moov” to an “mdat” designation. This change in designation makes the initial moov(i) atom of the FMP4 file opaque a media player and converts the FMP4 file to MP4 format.

An algorithm for the promotion of terminal nodes to switch nodes in a PLC network reduces overall network overhead and collisions, while ensuring the appropriate selection of a switch node and minimizing the number of levels in a PLC network. It also ensures that the terminal nodes with appropriate signal-to-noise ratios (SNRs) are promoted. It is desirable to have a network with fewer levels. The disclosed approach favors the nodes that are closer to the DC to promote them as switch nodes. This is achieved by waiting for a smaller number of PNPDUs for a node that is closer to the DC in comparison to a node that is farther away from the DC.

A method, apparatus and computer program product for homomorphic inference on a decision tree (DT) model. In lieu of HE-based inferencing on the decision tree, the inferencing instead is performed on a neural network (NN), which acts as a surrogate. To this end, the neural network is trained to learn DT decision boundaries, preferably without using the original DT model data training points. During training, a random data set is applied to the DT, and expected outputs are recorded. This random data set and the expected outputs are then used to train the neural network such that the outputs of the neural network match the outputs expected from applying the original data set to the DT. Preferably, the neural network has low depth, just a few layers. HE-based inferencing on the decision tree is done using HE inferencing on the shallow neural network. The latter is computationally-efficient and is carried without the need for bootstrapping.

Heating treatment is performed on a semiconductor wafer in an ammonia atmosphere formed in a chamber by light irradiation from halogen lamps and flash lamps. For the formation of the ammonia atmosphere in the chamber, pressure in the chamber is once reduced. In an embodiment, the disclosed technologies are capable of detecting a tone in text. A detected tone may be used to inform a decision made by and/or output produced by a grammatical error correction system. A set of candidate tones may be presented to a user for feedback. User feedback on the candidate tones may be used to improve subsequent tone detections.

Systems and methods for performing inference for word or wordpiece tokenization are disclosed using a left-to-right longest-match-first greedy process. In some examples, the vocabulary may be organized into a trie structure in which each node includes a precomputed token or token ID and a fail link, so that the tokenizer can parse the trie in a single pass to generate a list of only those tokens or token IDs that correspond to the longest matching vocabulary entries in the sample string, without the need for backtracking. In some examples, the vocabulary may be organized into a trie in which each node has a fail link, and any node that would share token(s) or token_ID(s) of a preceding node is instead given a prev_match link that points back to a chain of nodes with those token(s) or token_ID(s).

Systems and methods for a boosted Latent Dirichlet Allocation model with predefined clusters and repelling force. Herein, clusters are pre-populated with seed words with amplified weights to predefine the characteristics of clusters. A repel force is also applied while assigning words to specific clusters in order to assign words more accurately to clusters in instances where clusters have similar characteristics. In addition to generating improved clustering of words, systems and methods may analyze words within queries to provide explainability output related to the performance of content or data.

Glyph accessibility techniques are described. In an example, the glyph management system obtains alternate glyphs of glyphs from an input glyph sequence. The glyph management system then determines a swash type of swashes included in respective alternate glyphs. The swash type is used to generate candidate glyph sequences using one or more rules. The candidate glyph sequences are usable to replace an input glyph sequence in the user interface.

The independent claims of this patent signify a concise description of embodiments. An emulation control block enables a user to view an entire design in the same phase so that the used can observe and control a halted design in the same logical reference cycle. Both the clock cone and design flops are provided in the state which occurs after the evaluation of cycle K of the reference time. During cycle K+1 of an emulation, the values of derived clocks for cycle K+1 are computed. Moreover, during cycle K+1 of the emulation, the values of the sequential elements are computed based cycle K values of the clocks. When the emulation is halted due to a break, the clock cone is reverted to its previous state. This Abstract is not intended to limit the scope of the claims.

A simulation suggestion system comprising a server connected with a plurality of clients via a network. The server executes a design engine for generating designs, a simulation suggestion engine for identifying suggested simulations for the designs, and a simulation engine for performing the suggested simulations on the designs. The simulation engine includes one or more simulation tools for performing one or more suggested simulations on a design. A user completes a design of an object via the design engine. The simulation suggestion engine automatically identifies one or more simulation tools that are appropriate for the completed design based on at least one characteristic of the design. The simulation suggestion engine automatically identifies and loads simulation parameters (boundary conditions) for the suggested simulation tools. The suggested simulation tools are then performed on the completed design via the simulation engine.

A mechanism is provided in a first client for approximate linkage of datasets over quasi-identifiers. The mechanism receives a generalization logic data structure representing sets of values for each quasi-identifier in a first dataset of the first client. For each record in the first dataset, the mechanism generates at least one generalization of a value of a given quasi-identifier in the first dataset based on a selected generalization logic data structure corresponding to the given quasi-identifier and generates a generalized record for each of the at least one generalization to form a first generalized dataset. The mechanism sends the first generalized dataset to a semi-trusted third party for approximate linkage of the first dataset with a second dataset of a second client, receives an approximate join result from the semi-trusted third party, performs post-processing on the approximate join result, and determines a final linkage result based on the post-processing.
