摘要: Provided is a method of manufacturing an alkaline-earth-metal-sulfate-loaded support material, the method comprising: providing a first slurry comprising a support material, alkaline-earth-metal ions and an organic compound, wherein the organic compound comprises a functional group selected from a sulfo group (-SO3H), a sulfonyl group (-S(=O)2-) and a sulfinyl group (-S(=O)-); spray drying the first slurry to provide a spray-dried powder; and heating the spray-dried powder to form an alkaline-earth-metal-sulfate-loaded support material.

摘要: A method of coating an end surface of a monolithic substrate with a liquid comprises: (a) conveying a monolithic substrate to or toward a coating roller; and (b) applying a liquid onto an end surface of the monolithic substrate by contacting the end surface with the coating roller loaded with the liquid. The monolithic substrate may be conveyed to the coating roller using a conveying device such as a roller conveyor, a belt conveyor, a wire mesh conveyor a chain conveyor or a robotic arm. The liquid may be applied to an end surface of the monolithic substrate by either contacting the end surface of the monolith with a rotating surface of the coating roller loaded with the liquid; or by contacting the end surface of the monolith with the coating roller loaded with the liquid and passing the monolithic substrate over the coating roller. The method may also comprise a step of drying and then claiming the monolithic substrate. An apparatus for use with this method is also disclosed.

摘要: Described is a catalyst composition suitable for use as a selective catalytic reduction catalyst, including small-pore molecular sieve particles having a pore structure and a maximum ring size of eight tetrahedral atoms and impregnated with a promoter metal, and metal oxide particles dispersed within the small-pore molecular sieve particles and external to the pore structure of the small-pore molecular sieve particles, wherein the metal oxide particles include one or more oxides of a transition metal or lanthanide of Group 3 or Group 4 of the Periodic Table. A method for preparing the catalyst, a method for selectively reducing nitrogen oxides, and an exhaust gas treatment system are also described.

摘要: A porous discriminating layer is formed on a ceramic support having at least one porous wall by (a) establishing a flow of a gas stream containing agglomerates of particles and (b) calcining said deposited layer to form the discriminating layer. At least a portion of the particles are of a sinter-resistant material or a sinter-resistant material precursor. The particles have a size from 0.01 to 5 microns and the agglomerates have a size of from 10 to 200 microns. This method is an inexpensive and effective route to forming a discriminating layer onto the porous wall.
