摘要: A method of controlling a catalytic exhaust system including a first catalytic unit located upstream of a second catalytic unit, comprising: i) providing a relationship between the temperature of the first catalytic unit, the amount of NH3 stored in the second catalytic unit and the corresponding limit value of the amount of NH3 permitted in the first unit; ii) measuring or estimating the amount of NH3 in the second catalytic unit; iii) measuring or estimating the temperature of the first catalytic unit; iv) using said relationship and measured/estimated parameters of steps ii) and iii) to providing a said limit value for the amount of NH3 to be stored in said first catalytic unit v) using said parameter from iv) in the control of said system.

摘要: An exhaust gas control system for an internal combustion engine (1) includes: a first catalyst (4a) disposed on an exhaust passage for the internal combustion engine (1), the first catalyst (4a) being a NOx storage reduction catalyst; a second catalyst (6) disposed on the exhaust passage at a position downstream of the first catalyst (4a), the second catalyst (6) being a NOx selective catalytic reduction catalyst; a first NOx sensor (N2) mounted on the exhaust passage at a position between the first catalyst (4a) and the second catalyst (6); a second NOx sensor (N3) mounted on the exhaust passage at a position downstream of the second catalyst (6); and an electronic control unit (10). The electronic control unit (10) is configured to evaluate NOx reducing performance of the second catalyst (6) based on a value detected by the first NOx sensor (N2) and a value detected by the second NOx sensor (N3), when an evaluation condition is satisfied.

摘要: To provide an exhaust purifying system and a method for controlling the exhaust purifying system that avoid occurrence of clogging, breakage, or the like of a reducing agent injection valve caused by the solidification of a reducing agent and prevent reduction in the efficiency of reducing agent recovery processing and exhaust gas purification. An exhaust purifying system and a method for controlling the exhaust purifying system according to an aspect of the present invention is configured to detect the injection valve temperature of the reducing agent injection valve according to detection of turn-off of an ignition switch for stopping the internal combustion engine or detection of an injection stop of the reducing agent injection valve, whichever is earlier, calculate the waiting time until reducing agent recovery processing starts based on the injection valve temperature, and permits the reducing agent recovery processing under condition of the detection of turn-off of the ignition switch and an elapse of the waiting time.

The exhaust gas purification system includes a SCR 41, an NOx sensor 22 which is provided on a downstream side of the SCR 41, and an NOx purifying controller 51 which controls an amount of urea water being ejected to the SCR 41 and performs an abnormality diagnosis based on a detection value of the NOx sensor 22, wherein the exhaust gas purification system includes an exhaust gas temperature sensor 21 which acquires temperature of the exhaust gas flowing into the SCR 41, a temperature increasing rate calculating unit 54 which calculates a temperature increasing rate at which the exhaust gas temperature acquired by the exhaust gas temperature sensor 21 reaches a second temperature from a predetermined first temperature, and a prohibiting unit 55 which prohibits abnormality diagnosis by the NOx purifying controller 51 in a case in which the temperature increasing rate calculated by the temperature increasing rate calculating unit 54 is higher than a predetermined determination threshold value.

An exhaust purification system includes an SCR catalyst (32) disposed at an exhaust system of an engine (10) for using ammonia that is generated from urea water as a reducing agent to reduce and purify NOx contained in exhaust gas, a urea water injection device (31) that injects urea water to the SCR catalyst (32), an inlet-side electrode (37) that detects capacitance within the SCR catalyst (32) at least from the vicinity of the inlet of the SCR catalyst to the vicinity of an intermediate section in an exhaust gas flowing direction, an outlet-side electrode (38) that detects the capacitance within the SCR catalyst (32) at least from the vicinity of the intermediate section to the outlet of the SCR catalyst in the exhaust gas flowing direction, and an NH 3 adsorption amount calculation unit (52) that calculates the ammonia adsorption amount within the SCR catalyst (32) on the basis of the capacitance entered from the inlet-side electrode (37) and the capacitance entered from the outlet-side electrode (38).

Thereby, in the idling operation state after travel of a vehicle, generation of NO 2 by the oxidation catalyst 31a included in the exhaust gas after-treatment device 31 of the exhaust passage 15 is decreased, and emission of NO 2 to the atmosphere is suppressed.

An exhaust apparatus for a diesel engine including a downstream exhaust cleaner 101, an upstream exhaust catalyst 102 provided in the upstream of the downstream exhaust cleaner 101 in an exhaust passage, and a heater 3 includes an engine starter apparatus 131, a control unit 4 configured to control power supply to the heater 3 and an engine start process S12 performed by the engine starter apparatus 131, and a start command unit 105 connected to the control unit 4. The heater 3 is disposed at an exhaust inlet 102a of the upstream exhaust catalyst 102, and when an engine has been stopped and then the start command unit 105 gives the control unit 4 a start command, the control unit 4 performs powering S11 of the heater 3, without performing an engine start process S12 so as to keep the engine stopped for a predetermined period of time after the start command has been given, and subsequently performs the engine start process S12.

The electronic control unit (10) is configured to perform a warm-up control which warms the turbine by controlling the turbine inflow exhaust gas flow rate, by using the adjustment unit, to reach a flow rate higher than zero and lower than the post-warm-up flow rate when an operating state of the internal combustion engine remains constant, such that a warmed state of the first exhaust gas control catalyst is maintained after the first exhaust gas control catalyst is warmed.
