In a method aspect, the technique involves the steps of receiving a first data unit of a paging channel signal, obtaining an empty-paging data unit of the paging channel signal as a reference data unit, correlating the reference data unit with the received first data unit, and determining whether the paging channel signal is an empty page signal based on a first correlation result. In another aspect, an apparatus for determining whether a paging channel signal comprising one or more data units is an empty page signal as disclosed. The apparatus comprises a receiving component adapted to receive a first data unit of a paging channel signal, a coding component adapted to obtain an empty-paging data unit of the paging channel signal as a reference data unit, a correlator adapted to correlate the reference data unit with the received first data unit to obtain a first correlation result, and a determinator adapted to determine whether the paging channel signal is an empty page signal based on the first correlation result.

    摘要: A method for receiver processing in a 3GPP Long Term Evolution (LTE) receiver processing chain in a wireless mobile device is provided. LTE initial sub-frame transmitted from a base station is received on a LTE signalling channel. The sub-frame is received using a basic receiver. An integrity check is performed to determine if the sub-frame was demodulated and decoded correctly by the basic receiver. An advanced receiver is enabled prior to receiving an expected retransmission sub-frame based upon the integrity check failing and a hybrid-acknowledgement request (HARQ) negative acknowledgement (NAK) being sent by the wireless mobile device. The retransmission sub-frame is received using the advanced receiver. The basic receiver is enabled when the integrity check of the retransmission sub-frame passes and a acknowledgement (ACK) is by the wireless mobile device or a new data indicator (NDI) is set in a control channel indicating that the transmission is an initial transmission.

    摘要: Aspects of a method and system for redundancy-based decoding of voice content in a wireless local area network (WLAN) system are provided. A WLAN receiver may determine whether a decoded portion of a received packet comprises voice content and may select a redundancy-based decoder to decode a remaining portion of the packet when voice content is detected. The redundancy-based decoder may be a Viterbi decoder. The redundancy-based decoder may be selected to decode a determined number of subsequent packets or to decode subsequent packets for a determined amount of time. After decoding the remaining portion of the packet and any subsequent packets, the WLAN receiver may select a standard Viterbi decoder to decode additional received packets. The WLAN receiver may generate at least one signal to select the redundancy-based decoder and the standard Viterbi decoder.
