Das automatische Ventil verhindert einen Unterdruck in Vorkammer (34). Erste Druckausgleichsmittel verhindern einen Überdruck und das Zurücks trömen von feuchtem Atemgas aus dem Atemkreislauf. Der Druckausgleich der Gassensoren ist stets gewährleistet, da ihre Druckausgleichsmembranen über die rückseitigen Öffnungen (3) mit der Vorkammer in Verbindung stehen. Druckausgleichmittel können unter anderem Richtungsventile sein, optional auch Trockenpatronen mit einem Trocknungsmittel. Gegenüber dem bisherigen Stand der Technik gelingt der Erfindung eine besser funktionierende und auch für technische Laien geistig nachvollziehbare Lösung des Kondensationsproblems an den sicherheitsrelevanten elektrischen Komponenten von Kreislaufatemgeräten, wodurch die Produkthaftungsproblematik gerade im Falle von Kreislauftauchgeräten deutlich entschärft wird.

This invention relates to high surface area materials, such as nanoparticles, that are coated with metal ions. These modified nanoparticles have active sites that bind various gases and/or odorous compounds, thereby removing these compounds from a medium such as air or water. Metal ions are adsorbed onto the surface of the nanoparticle and bound strongly to the surface. By selection of the metal ion, specific gaseous compounds and/or odorous compounds can be targeted and removed efficiently and effectively from both aqueous phase and from the air. The modified nanoparticles are useful in numerous article of manufacture for industrial and consumer use.

The rotary valve assembly (310) is relatively rotatable with respect to the plurality of adsorption beds (300) to provide valving action for selectively transferring fluids through the plurality of absorption beds (300) for converting ambient air into concentrated oxygen gas for the user. The ratio of adiabatic power to oxygen flow for the concentrator (114) is in the range of 6.2 W/LPM to 23.0 W/LPM.

A closed circuit rebreather system with a modular, detachably affixable breathing bag assembly (10). An interchangeable base unit (12) is provided, preferably in backpack form, containing gas supply bottles (TN), regulation equipment (VN), and interconnecting hoses. A personalized closed circuit modular breathing bag assembly (10) is provided which can be customized for each diver and or for a particular mission, by changing tidal volume and/or gas scrubber (GN) charge size in the breathing bag. The modular breathing bag assembly (10), regardless of customizing, is reliably interchangeable with any one of a plurality of base units (12), via a commonly sized and configured base to breathing bag fastener system. Attachment to the base units with accompanying gas supply and regulation equipment is facilitated by quick connect gas connections, and modular electrical connections. By use of personal modular, breathing bag assemblies, divers avoid the necessity to re-use equipment, thus avoiding biological cross-contamination between subsequent users.

A processing device generates a concentration signal as a function of the at least one property. The exposure signaling rate varies as a function of the concentration signal. Alternatively, the processing device may provide a threshold detector for generating a threshold signal in response to the concentration signal when a predetermined threshold concentration is attained. The exposure signaling rate may then vary thereafter as a function of the concentration signal. The processing device drives the indicator at a ready signaling rate indicative of an exposure indicating apparatus operating within predefined design parameters and a fault signaling rate different from the ready signaling rate indicative of the exposure indicating apparatus operating outside of the predefined desing parameters. The indicator operates at a signaling rate in the frequency range of 0.001 to 30 Hz.
