The invention relates to overalls, manufactured by polypropylene and polyethylene, usable as protective clothing, in particular suitable as barrier against biological agents. The overalls provide a very high level of protection against the penetration of liquids and microorganisms, excellent mechanical properties, includingtear and abrasion resistance, outstanding softness, drapeability and comfort.

Abstract:
A disposable protective garment (1) has bands (8) of elastomeric material at the wrists and/or ankles and/or around the hood (5). Each band is joined to the garment by a welded or adhesively-bonded seam and extends from the garment to encircle closely the adjacent part of the body of the wearer. Each band is joined in a stretched condition to the garment and is then allowed to relax, thereby forming gathers (9) in the garment.

The garment includes a major portion (12) positionable over the head of the wearer, the major piece (12) having a forward edge (16) positionable across the forehead of the wearer and rearward edge (18) positionable across the back of the head of the wearer. The garment also includes a minor portion (22) positionable over the face of the wearer, the minor piece (22) having an upper egde (24) positionable beneath the eyes and above the nose of the wearer and a lower edge (26) positionable across the throat of the wearer. The undergarment includes a relatively narrow expansible waistband component 11 for encircling the waist of the wearer, a relatively loose, woven non-stretch fabric seat, upper abdomen and leg component 12,12A attached to and carried by the waistband component 11 for providing a loose, comfortable fit in the seat, upper abdomen and leg areas of the wearer and a relatively stretchable crotch component 13 attached to and positioned in relation to the leg, upper abdomen and seat component to snugly support the crotch of the wearer. Embodiments are disclosed which include a multi-layer crotch with enhanced moisture management capacity and a crotch which includes a pouch for holding a separate moisture absorbing pouch.

A hand-friendly rubber glove article comprising a dried coating of an emulsified hand-friendly mixture comprising at least one water-soluble humectant moisturizer, at least one water-soluble lubricant, at least one water-soluble surfactant, and at least one waterinsoluble occlusive moisturizer, which is finely and substantially uniformly dispersed within the mixture, which is transferred to the skin of a wearer upon activation with skin-generated moisture, and, optionally, a fabric-adherent cuff region and/or a texturized surface and methods of making the emulsified hand-friendly mixture and the glove article.
