摘要:
In a fuel cell system and its controlling method, the fuel cell system includes a stack (21) including fuel cells each having a polymer electrolyte membrane, and a controller (61). The controller (61) is responsive to detected outputs of a displacement sensor (27) and a temperature sensor (27) and controls such that, when the polymer electrolyte membrane is discriminated to remain in an excessively dry state, a shut-off valve (37) is applied with a 'close' control signal to interrupt the supply of fuel gas to the stack (21) and, concurrently, a shut-off valve (41) is applied with an 'open' control signal to allow air to be supplied to the stack (21) while applying a pump control signal to a pump (57) so as to maximize its rotational speed for thereby increasing the flow rate of pure water (59) to be circulated to the humidifier (35) from a pure water tank (55). Simultaneously, a timer of the controller (61) is operated to begin counting an incremental time. As a result, air is excessively humidified by the humidifier (35) and is supplied to the stack (21) via the shut-off valve (41).

A power supply includes a fuel cell stack, a thermoelectric module and a burner module. The fuel cell stack generates a primary source of electricity and secondary source of heat. The thermoelectric module generates a secondary source of electricity. The burner module is juxtaposed to the fuel cell stack and the thermoelectric module, to provide primary heat to the system and to generate a temperature differential across the thermoelectric module, and to pre-heat a fuel and an oxidant for the fuel cell stack. The burner module is regulated to maintain a given system temperature, or when needed by the thermoelectric generator for secondary power generation.

An energy collection system may collect and use the energy generated by an electric field. Collection fibers are suspended from a support wire system supported by poles. The support wire system is electrically connected to a load by a connecting wire. The collection fibers may be made of any conducting material, but carbon and graphite are preferred. Diodes may be used to restrict the backflow or loss of energy.

A fuel cell vehicle (10) comprises a motor (22), a fuel cell (42), a first DC/DC converter (50), and a first converter control unit (52). The first DC/DC converter (50) performs a boosting operation during the fuel cell vehicle (10) runs in a non-stationary state, and does not perform the boosting operation during the vehicle runs in a stationary state.

A power supply apparatus, a power supply system, and a power supply method increase the power generation efficiency of the system overall in a system that includes a plurality of power source units. A power supply apparatus (5) operates distributed power sources in parallel, the distributed power sources including power source units (20A, 20B), and supplies output power from the distributed power sources to a load (200). The power supply apparatus (5) includes a controller (18) that controls each power source unit so that output power from whichever of the power source units (20A, 20B) has higher power generation efficiency is prioritized to increase.

There are provided: a solid polymer power generation or electrolysis method that does not require injection of energy from the outside and maintenance of a high temperature, and is capable of converting carbon dioxide to a useful hydrocarbon while producing energy, controlling the production amounts of the hydrocarbons or the like and a ratio sorted by kind of the hydrocarbons, improving utilization efficiency of a product, and simplifying equipment for separation and recovery; and a system for implementing the solid polymer power generation or electrolysis method. Carbon dioxide is supplied to the side of one electrode 111 of a reactor 110 having a membrane electrode assembly 113, hydrogen is supplied to the side of the other electrode 112, and the amounts of the hydrocarbons produced per unit time and the ratio sorted by kind of the hydrocarbons are changed by controlling a power generation voltage of the reactor 110.
