Zur Unterdrückung von Flammgeräuschen, insbesondere bei Oelbrenneranlagen, wird eine Schalldämpfung durch Auftrennung eines möglicherweise bereits bestehenden Abgasrohres (8) zwischen Ofen und Kamin unter Dazwischenschaltung des erfindungsgemässen Aktivschalldämpfers dadurch bewerkstelligt, dass die offenen Rohrleitungen (8) durch Reduktionsverschlüsse (1) über Verbindungsschläuche (2) und (3) mit einem Heissgasgebläse (4) verbunden sind, die ihrerseits über einen Temperaturschalter (5) und einen Drucksensor (6) verfügt wodurch Reglersignale an eine Elektronik (7) weitergeben werden, die die Tourenzahl des Antriebsmotores (9) und somit die anfallende Gasmenge in der Brennkammer (38) dosiert wegsaugt. Die Elektronik (7) wird anstelle des Brenners (10) über die Thermostatenregelung (11) des Ofens (12) direkt angesteuert und schaltet ihrerseits, wenn alle Parameter des Aktivschalldämpfers (1 - 9) stimmen, nachfolgend den Brenner (10) ein.
