    摘要: In order to perform RAM recording of new information related to ROM information at the position linked to ROM information of an optical information recording medium while continuously reproducing ROM information of the optical information recording medium, there is provided an optical head (5) which irradiates the light to the optical information recording medium (4) having an optical magnetic recording film formed on a substrate where a phase pit is formed, detects the light intensity modulated by the phase pit as a ROM signal from the return light from the optical information recording medium, and detects as a RAM signal a differential amplitude of the component in the polarized direction in which the return light is modulated by the optical magnetic recording film. The ROM signal is read at n-time speed (n>2) and converted into the reference speed and outputted, and input information related to ROM information is recorded as the RAM information in the predetermined address at n-time speed.

    摘要: First modification detection data is generated from the (compressed) video data. The video data is combined with the first modification detection data. The combined data is recorded on a recording medium. The read combined data is separated into the compressed video data and the first modification detection data. Second modification detection data is generated according to the separated compressed data. The separated first data modification detection data is compared with the second data modification detection data to detect data modification. Outputting expanded video data is controlled according to the comparing result. The recorded data may be copied on a removable disc. A data reproducing apparatus having the second modification detection data generation circuit and the comparing circuit reproduces the removable disc. The reproduced video data may be further processed by a watermark processing circuit to embed watermark data in the video data which are recorded on another removable disc. The compressed video data may be transmitted through a network with encrypting. Encrypting key data is exchanged between the data transmitting side and the receiving side for decrypting. Encrypted video data may be recorded or transmitted and the encrypting key is stored for decrypting or transmitted for decrypting.

    摘要: An optical disk device which drives an HD-DVD or the like. When recording or reproducing data with respect to an optical disk of HD-DVD, the address information is demodulated by an address decoding circuit and is supplied to a system controller (S201). The system controller performs error checking using the CRC technique (S202). When a resulting CRC value does not correspond to CRC bits, the system controller regards a bit in which the number of waves in wobbles having the same phase is not four, which is a predetermined value, as an error bit (S103), and performs bit data replacement with respect to the error bit (S203). Specifically, the system controller searches for a combination of bit values by which a resulting CRC value matches the CRC bits, thereby performing error correction. At this time, the system controller tries the data value replacement preferentially using a combination of bit values by which the address is advanced by one address from the immediately previous address which is fixed among all the possible combinations with respect to the error bits.
