An ultraviolet-crosslinkable polymer composition comprising a polymer containing iodine and/or bromine in an amount of from 0.001 to 10 % by weight, a photoinitiator as a crosslinking agent and a polyfunctional unsaturated compound as a crosslinking aid. By using iodine and/or bromine as a crosslinking point, it is possible to carry out crosslinking of various polymers including fluorine-containing polymers which have been very difficult to crosslink with ultraviolet rays, and molding or processing can be made easily at working site at low temperature.

Coatings based on condensates containing fluorine are produced by applying a coating agent to a substrate. Said coating agent contains: a) 0.001 to 100 wt. % of a polycondensate of one or more hydrolyzable compounds of at least one element M, selected from main groups III to V and/or from subgroups II to IV of the periodic table of elements, whereby at least one portion of these compounds comprise, in addition to hydrolyzable groups A, non-hydrolyzable groups B that contain carbon, and the total molar ratio of Groups A to Groups B in the underlying monomeric parent compounds ranges from 100:1 to 1:2, whereby 0.1 to 100 mol % of groups B are groups B' which comprise, on average, 5 to 30 fluorine atoms that are bound to one or more aliphatic carbon atoms, said atoms being separated by at least two atoms of M, and contains; b) 0 to 99.999 wt. % of a supporting medium having a liquid to wax-like consistency and optionally c) up to 90 wt. % of nanoscalar inorganic solid particles. Said coating agent is dried at an ambient temperature (less than 40 °C) while forming a coating having a dry layer thickness exceeding no more than 600 nm.

The invention concerns an object with improved grip, whereof at least one part designed to be in contact with the hand is coated with an effective amount of a polymer further comprising a main chain, lateral perfluoroalkyl groups and lateral alkyl groups, and having a melting temperature ranging between 25 and 45 °C, preferably between 25 and 37 °C.

Wäßrige Polymerdispersionen mit einem Gehalt an organischen Lösungsmitteln von maximal 22 Gew.-% und einem Gehalt an dispergierten Polymeren von 30 bis 60 Gew.-%, wobei sich diese Polymeren 20 bis 80 Gew.-% aus chlorierten Polymerisaten und zu 80 bis 20 Gew.-% aus nichtchlorierten Polymerisaten zusammensetzen, ein Verfahren zur Herstellung von derartigen Dispersionen, indem man zunächst eine WO-Emulsion einer organischen Lösung des chlorierten Polymerisats herstellt und diese anschließend durch Vermischen mit einer wäßrigen Dispersion des Chlor-freien Polymerisats zu einer OW-Dispersion vereinigt, und die Verwendung derartiger wäßriger Dispersionen, insbesondere in Abmischung mit wäßrigen Bitumenemulsionen zur Herstellung von Beschichtungsmitteln für beliebige Substrate.

To provide a coating liquid composition containing a fluororesin, whereby a film excellent in the surface flatness can be formed by a plate printing method. A coating liquid composition comprising a fluororesin having an aliphatic ring in the main chain and a fluorinated solvent, wherein the fluorinated solvent has a boiling point of at least 185°C, and the composition has a viscosity of at most 1,000 mP·s at 25°C.

To provide a powder coating material excellent in blocking resistance and capable of forming a coating film excellent in color tone and weather resistance in which the occurrence of color unevenness is suppressed, a method for its production, and a coated article having a coating film formed from the powder coating material. The powder coating material comprises a resin powder, a luster pigment and a binder, wherein the resin powder contains a fluororesin and a non-fluororesin, the binder contains a surfactant having a melting point of at least 25°C, and the luster pigment is bonded to the particle surfaces of the resin powder via the binder.

Presently described are components of a spray application system, a method of making thereof, wherein at least one component comprises a liquid repellent surface layer such that the receding contact angle with water ranged from 90 degrees to 135 degrees. The liquid repellent surface (e.g. layer) may comprise a porous layer and a lubricant impregnated into pores of the porous layer; a fluoropolymer; a fluorochemical material and an organic polymeric binder; or a fluorochemical material melt additive or silicone/silane/siloxane material melt additive and a thermoplastic polymeric material component. The component is typically a liquid reservoir, a liquid reservoir liner, a lid for a liquid reservoir or liner, or a combination thereof. In some embodiments, the component comprises a thermoplastic polymeric material. In some favored embodiments, the component is a removable liquid reservoir or liner. In some favored embodiments, the component is a collapsible liquid reservoir or liner. The spray application system typically further comprises a gravity-fed spray gun.
