    摘要: A method and apparatus for forming a hollow glass article comprises delivering a gob of glass to a blank mold (30), providing a first neck ring (A) to a position adjacent the blank mold (30), forming the gob in the blank mold into a parison (P), moving the first neck ring (A) to transfer the parison to a blow mold (31), blowing the parison (P) in the blow mold to a hollow article, releasing the engagement of the first ring (A) with the hollow article, moving the first neck ring (A) away from the blow mold (31), removing the hollow article from the blow mold (31), returning the first neck ring (A) to a position adjacent the blank mold (30) to repeat the cycle, providing a second neck ring (B) adjacent the blank mold (30) while the first ring (A) is moving toward the blow mold (31), delivering a second gob of glass to the blank mold (30) while the second ring (B) is in position adjacent the blank mold, forming the second gob into a second parison, moving the second parison to a position adjacent the blow mold (31) while the first neck ring (A) is being returned to a position adjacent said blank mold (30); and controlling the positioning and movement of the first neck ring (A) and second ring (B) independently of one another such that the velocity and movement of each neck ring is varied without affecting the overall forming cycle.

    摘要: Flat panel image sensor (10) is provided by combining photoconductive imaging electrodes of a vidicon with a two-dimensional array of cold cathode field emitters (14) commonly used for flat panel field emission display (FED) systems. The FED operates normally to emit electrons which are accelerated in prior art displays towards a luminescent phosphor to generate light output proportional to the cathode emission. Rather than accelerating towards a phosphor, electrons are accelerated towards a photoconductor layer (16) to replace charge removed from the layer by an incident radiation pattern directed at the photoconductor layer (16) through a layer of transparent, electrically-conducting material (17) which serves as a radiation window. The transparent, electrically-conducting layer (17) may be partitioned to reduce stray capacitance for large area sensors and the partitioned, electrically-conducting layer (17) permits a parallel readout mode of operation.

A common manifold supplies the pressure at accurately controlled pressure to each of the nitrogen cylinders (39). A control system is provided for monitoring and changing the pressure.
