Abstract:
The invention relates to foams and molded parts made of foamed supporting materials that are selected from the group consisting of polyurethane resins, polyester resins, epoxides, as well as non-woven fabrics, woven materials, and open-cell two- and three-dimensional networks that consist of mineral, animal, plant, and chemical (natural/synthetic) fibers or mixtures thereof containing melamine/formaldehyde resin as a foaming reactive resins.
Abstract:
A plant substrate, consisting of (a) 25 to 100% by weight of an open cell melamine-formaldehyde foam, (b) 0 to 75% by weight of an additional synthetic plant substrate and/or mineral soil, and (c) 0 to 25% by weight of one or more active ingredient-releasing systems and/or additional additives, can be stored and transported in the completely anhydrous state and makes good air circulation in the soil possible.
Abstract:
The invention relates to an open-cell melamine resin foam, the surface of its cellular frame being totally or partially coated with a mixture of fluorocarbon resin and modified polyisocyanate. The invention also relates to a method for producing said foam and to the use thereof.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a foam material from a foam matrix comprising substantially open cells and a finish from substantially fluorocarbon resin or silicone resin applied to the foam matrix. The finish additionally contains at least one fire-retardant substance. The invention also relates to a method for producing the inventive foam.
Abstract:
The invention relates to methods for producing melamine/formaldehyde foams, comprising the method steps of: a) producing an aqueous mixture M1) that comprises 100 parts by weight of at least one melamine/formaldehyde pre-condensate, 2 to 4 parts by weight of at least one hardener, 0.2 to 5 parts by weight of a surfactant mixture, 0.1 to 5 parts by weight of at least one salt of an inorganic acid or a salt of an organic carboxylic acid, 1 to 40 parts by weight of at least one blowing agent, 0 to 5 parts by weight of at least one colouring agent and/or optical brightener, 0 to 20 parts by weight of one or more further additives, and 25 to 60 parts by weight of water, b) heating and foaming the mixture M1) using microwave radiation, c) crosslinking and hardening the foam that has been formed, with the aid of the hardener and microwave radiation, d) drying said foam using microwave radiation, and e) tempering the dried foam using hot air. According to the invention, it is essential for the mixture M1) to contain, as a surfactant mixture, a mixture consisting of 50 to 90 wt.% of an anionic surfactant and 10 to 50 wt.% of a non-ionic surfactant, these weight percentages each relating to the total weight of the surfactant mixture. The invention also relates to melamine/formaldehyde foams that can be produced according to the method in the invention, as well as to the uses of same.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a method for producing elastic, compressed foam based on melamine/formaldehyde resins, wherein a melamine/formaldehyde precondensate is foamed and the soft, non-cured melamine/formaldehyde foam is compressed and subsequently dried and optionally tempered.
