The exhaust gas purification equipment has a discharge electrode charging particulate matter contained in exhaust gas of a diesel engine using a low-grade fuel equal to or less than fuel oil, and a tubular collecting part constituting a precipitation electrode for collecting the charged particulate matter, and is provided with a segregating and collecting means of a cyclone system for segregating and collecting the particulate matter which has been detached from the tubular collecting part, and in this equipment, a system is adopted in which a cyclone collecting means composed of one or more tangential cyclones is provided at an exhaust gas outlet portion for high PM concentration provided in the vicinity of an inner face on a downstream side of the tubular collecting part, and in which a high PM concentration of exhaust gas stream discharged through the exhaust gas outlet portion for high PM concentration is selectively introduced into the tangential cyclone according to the flow rate of the exhaust gas.

The invention relates to the collector stage of an electrostatic precipitator for cleaning flue gas produced during combustion processes, consisting of a collector stage (2) comprising at least one collector pipe (3) in which a spiral brush (5) is rotationally mounted. The brush consists of a central rod or pipe (4) which extends coaxially to the collector pipe and consists of sections which are arranged to be rotationally offset to one another. The brush wires on the rod or pipe segments protrude radially relative to the spiral axis and touch the inner wall of the collector pipe with their free end in such a manner that deposited particles on the inner wall of the collector pipe are brushed away when the brush turns. The collector pipe and the brush lie on a common electrical reference potential and can therefore act as a precipitation surface. The offset arrangement of the brush axis increases the efficiency of the particle precipitation.

When gas is flowing radially inwards through the ionization stages, the gas flows open into the associated collector device, which is seated centrally with respect to the channel axis, and they are all deflected in the same way there in such a way that this results in a flow profile, which is not inclined with respect to the channel axis, in the course of the gas flow over the unobstructed cross section in the collector area. When the gas flows radially outwards through the ionization stages, the collector device comprises collector stages which are each connected to one ionization stage of the ionization device, in which the radial gas flow opens from the associated ionization stage and is deflected parallel to the channel axis in the course of the gas flow.
