摘要:
The present disclosure provides viral microparticles comprising genetically-engineered baculoviruses (at least partially) embedded in a polymeric matrix for the local delivery of therapeutic nucleic acid molecules to the cells of a vertebrate individual (optionally in combination with a medical implant such as vascular stent platform). The viral microparticles are especially useful for promoting the healing of a wound as well as the repair of a blood vessel and prevent pathological scarring. Also provided herein are processes for making the viral microparticles, pharmaceutical compositions comprising viral microparticles as well as supports comprising the viral microparticles for the locating the viral microparticles in a wound or in the vicinity of a wound.

For many diseases due to microbes or the like, proliferation of microbes themselves is a cause of a symptom. However, there were cases where a substance released by the microbes is a cause of a symptom. In such cases, when attempting to treat a disease with an antibody, it was necessary to obtain an antibody against an antigen that is a substance causing the disease. However, it was difficult to find the underlying substance causing the disease among substances released by the microbes. An antibody (polyclonal) binding to not only an antigen but also to a substance, which is secreted by the antigen and accelerates the deterioration of a symptom, is obtained by immunizing birds with a lysis solution produced from lysing microbial cells as an antigen. Further, an antibody obtained with a surface protein of a virus as an antigen is expected to inhibit an infection by a virus.

A vaccine for the treatment or prevention of a disease in a subject, wherein said disease is associated with an avian influenza virus, and wherein said vaccine comprises an expression vector comprising a nucleic acid encoding a hemagglutinin peptide, such that in use said hemagglutinin peptide is expressed by said expression vector in said subject.

The present invention relates to the use of an immunogenic composition comprising a porcine circovirus type 2 (PCV2) antigen for the prevention and treatment of sub-clinical PCV2 infection in animals, preferably in pigs.

The invention describes novel virus-like particles for use as vaccines, diagnostic tools and R&D tools based on recombinant DNA and cell cultivation techniques for production. The recombinant virus-like particles of the invention are assembled by polypeptide chains that incorporate several, in particular two or more, different epitopes which are selected either (a) from different viral strains of the same virus and/or (b) from different serotypes of the same virus and/or (c) from different viral strains specific for different hosts. These epitopes are then displayed on the particle surface.

The present invention relates to the use of an immunogenic composition comprising a porcine circovirus type 2 (PCV2) antigen for the prevention and treatment of porcine respiratory disease complex (PRDC) in animals, preferably in pigs.

The subject of the present invention is a method of manufacturing a recombinant vaccine against rabbit viral haemorrhagic disease, the vaccine and the application of a recombinant protein antigen in the manufacture of the vaccine. The subjects of the present invention facilitate the production of a recombinant capsid protein exhibiting hemagglutinin and antigenic properties, which is able to form virus-like particles (VLP) and to stimulate the production of specific antibodies in inoculated animals.
