A composition based on foamed perlite and magnesia cement for forming constructional thermo insulating elements and a method of making thereof. The composition comprises additionally surface active substances such as methylcellulose, bentonite as swelling agent and H 3 PO 4 , NaH 2 PO 4 .2H 2 O and NH 4 H 2 PO 4 . The made constructional articles have an even finely porous structure and can be easily machined or processed; they resist against passive flame and biologic agents, have antibacteric properties, are free of bad odours and do not emit environmental noxious substances.

The invention relates to a concrete, comprising a hydraulic binder, water, an aggregate, a mineral admixture and a chemical admixture acting as a superplasticiser, characterized in that said mineral admixture comprises colloidal silica and one or more of kaolin clay, metakaolin clay and montmorillonite clay with a blain value in the range of from 2000 to 8000 cm 2 /g, preferably from 3000 to 7000 cm 2 /g, more preferably from 3300 to 6000 cm 2 /g, still more preferably from 4000 to 5000 cm 2 /g. The invention also relates to a method for obtaining such a concrete, comprising the steps of: (a) mixing the hydraulic binder and clay; (b) adding a part of the water, in an amount sufficient to obtain an adequately manageable mass; (c) mixing said chemical admixture with said mass obtained in (b); (d) adding and mixing the collidal silica and the rest of the water with the mixture obtained in step (c); (e) mixing in the aggregates; and (f) hardening the mixture.

The invention concerns a method for preparing a blend consisting of power station ashes and/or slugs, and/or coal wastes in a quantity of 60-95% by weight, as well as an agglomeration promoting binder, including sewage after-fermentation sludge in a quantity of 5-40% in the dry state, said blend being so prepared that its total moisture contents is below 21%, and while maintaining features of a pourable material it can be homogenized in mixers provided with high speed rotary homogenizing means. After agglomerating said blend is fired in a rotary furnace. A firing method is characterized by that the rotary furnace operates with charge and gas phase moving in the co-current arrangement, what enables almost autothermal process with firing in the same time harmful volatile substances released from a binder. Said autothermal process is also promoted by the double-diameter structure of the furnace (a wider part 1A and a narrow par 1B), by its substantial slope, precise insulated heads 2 and 7, as well as gas ducts 3 and 14, and by dividing thee air stream, one part of which is directly supplied through the layer of the material being fired and sintered.
