Thus, it becomes possible to reduce the axial length of the throttle body (1) further downstream in the air intake path (2) than the valve shaft (5 a) without interfering with the air intake pressure sensor (19) in particular, and it also becomes possible to make the throttle body (1) compact, lighten the weight, and at the same time make the sensor housing compact (17).

A control process for controlling an engine speed governor of an engine is provided. The process comprises the steps of calculating the current engine power (102) being developed by the engine, and determining an appropriate engine speed (104) for the current engine power based upon a first engine map (105). The process then instructs the speed governor to adjust the engine speed (110) in accordance with the first map (105) if required. The process monitors for desired engine power requests (106), and calculates a power ratio of desired engine power versus current engine power (112) upon receiving a desired engine power request. The process then establishes an engine speed adjustment value based upon a second engine map (113) of power ratio versus speed adjustment value, and instructs the speed governor to adjust the engine speed (114) in accordance with the speed adjustment value. A speed governor system incorporating the control process, and a work machine or vehicle incorporating such a system are also provided.

The exhaust gas purifier 2 includes a plurality of filter bodies 43 and 44 to purify exhaust gas discharged from the engine 1, a purification casing 40 including a plurality of purification cases 46 to 49 that house the filter bodies 43 and 44, an exhaust gas pressure sensor 81 to detect an exhaust gas pressure in the purification casing 40, and an exhaust gas temperature sensor 82 to detect an exhaust gas temperature in the purification casing 40. The two sensors 81 and 82 are disposed on the outer circumferential side of the purification casing 40 so as to fit in the length range in the purification casing 40 in the exhaust gas flow direction.

The present invention discloses a low idle control system of construction equipment and an automatic control method thereof. The low idle control system of construction equipment includes: a front angle change sensing means which detects an operation of at least a part of a front unit through changes in an angle; a controller which is electrically connected to the front angle change sensing means, determines whether to enter an auto idle state by receiving an output signal that is transmitted from the front angle change sensing means, and generates an rpm control signal corresponding to the result of the determination on whether to enter the auto idle state; and an ECU which controls the rpm of an engine by receiving the rpm control signal outputted from the controller. The present invention is capable of implementing an effective auto idle function by more accurately recognizing a state of using equipment.
