The seat for heavy equipment is mounted on a suspension plate and is located between left and right console boxes (5,6). The seat for heavy equipment includes a lower member mounted on the suspension plate; an upper member slidably mounted on the lower member in forward and backward directions of the equipment; a buffer means for attenuating impact and vibration generated in the forward and backward directions of the equipment; a tilting means including a frame (25), a hinge shaft, a driving shaft (27), and a control handle; and a locking means for locking and unlocking forward and backward movement of the upper member (11) against the lower member (10) when a pusher installed on one side of the frame (25) is manipulated. In a main working mode of the equipment, a buffer function is performed through forward and backward movement of the upper member (11) against the lower member (10), and when the main working mode is released, the buffer function is released.

A vehicle seat system includes a motor moving a seat along a path between mechanical limits. A sensor measures the position of the seat along the path. A control module defines a soft-limit when the sensor detects that movement of the seat has stopped for a first predetermined time interval, but the motor is activated. The control module subsequently ceases movement of the seat at the soft-limit when no movement of the seat is detected for a second predetermined time interval less than the first predetermined time interval, indicating a soft stall. The control module defines a hard-limit after a predetermined number of soft stalls. The control module subsequently ceases activation of the motor just before the seat reaches a hard-limit.

Unfamiliarity with the performance of such systems may cause users initial perceptions of system performance to be unfavorable. AVI systems can include a demonstration system capable of providing simulations too users of various types of vibration isolation systems under various input conditions, so that users can be introduced to the system benefits over other systems before using an AVI equipped product in its intended application.
