This method comprising the steps of pre-heating the thermosetting resin up to a pre-heating temperature T0, kneading the pre-heated thermosetting resin together with a decomposer, and concurrently heating a mixture comprising the thermosetting resin and the decomposer up to a kneading temperature T1, thereby allowing a reaction to take place between the decomposer and the thermosetting resin to obtain a kneaded matter wherein the decomposer has been consumed, and heating the kneaded matter to a maximum temperature T2 to thereby decompose the thermosetting resin, wherein the pre-heating temperature T0 is not higher than the boiling temperature of the decomposer, the kneading temperature T1 is not lower than the pre-heating temperature T0 but is lower than the thermal decomposition temperature of the thermosetting resin, the maximum temperature T2 is lower than the decomposition temperature of the thermosetting resin, and the pre-heating of the thermosetting resin is performed under the following conditions of temperature T0 and time t: 100°C ≦ T0 0.5 min ≦ t ≦ 7 min.

The invention concerns a process for recycling hardened or partially hardened polysulphide and/or polymercaptan compositions. Processing is carried out in a non-volatile liquid, with the addition of a depolymerization agent, preferably a sulphurous vulcanization accelerator known from rubber technology. The depolymerisate can be added in high proportions to the hardener component of two-component polysulphide and/or polymercaptan adhesives, sealants or coating materials without substantially modifying its hardening characteristics or properties concerning stability during storage.

A new process is described for recycling polyesters. In accordance with the described process, postconsumer or scrap polyester is reacted with glycol to produce a monomer or low molecular weight oligomer by depolymerization of the polyester. The monomer or oligomer, as the case may be, is then purified using one or more of a number of steps including filtration, crystallization, and optionally adsorbent treatment or evaporation. The monomer or oligomer thus produced is particularly suitable as a raw material for acid or ester based polyester production of packaging grade polyester material. Because the process includes purification steps, specifications for the previously used polyester material need not be strict.

A process for recycling a silicone compound wherein the silicone compound is decomposed by employing an alkyl carbonate and a compound containing active hydrogen group in the presence of a catalyst, and silicone monomers and/or silicone oligomers are recovered from the decomposed silicone compound. Silicone monomers and/or silicone oligomers are produced without producing any byproduct, and no step for removal by separation is needed in an after process, and therefore the implementation is easy.

Disclosed is an apparatus for decomposing a polyurethane resin and recovering the decomposed polyurethane resin as a polyamine compound and a polyol compound, said apparatus including: a fluidizer that fluidizes the polyurethane resin as a target compound of hydrolysis decomposition; a reactor that hydrolyzes the fluidized target compound of decomposition with either one of supercritical water and high-temperature high-pressure water to a decomposition product mixture; a water supplier that feeds either one of supercritical water and high-temperature high-pressure water to the reactor; and a post-processor that causes the decomposition product mixture discharged from the reactor to be subjected to a post treatment procedure, such as dehydration, addition, distillation, separation, and liquid separation to recover the polyamine compound and/or the polyol compound. According to the present invention, there can be provided an apparatus of decomposition and recovery that continuously decomposes and recovers polyurethane resin with high-temperature high-pressure water or supercritical water, which advantageously reduces the required energy cost, reduces the size of the whole apparatus, removes foreign substances from the shredder dust, and decreases the required quantities of substances for decomposition.
