The protective coating includes reinforcement particles (34) dispersed within an elastomeric matrix (36) that is modified with a silicon-containing modifier selected from polysilsesquioxane, polyhedral oligomeric silicate and polyhedral oligomeric silsesquioxane (POSS).

The present invention provides a primer for a laminate for packaging having print suitability, such as excellent transfer properties of printing ink and dot reproducibility, high adhesive properties, excellent storage stability for a long period of time under highly humid conditions, and acid resistance which are obtained by improving adhesion between the base layer, a printing ink layer, a coating layer, and an adhesive layer; and a laminate containing the primer layer, and the primer containing: a main component (A) containing a copolymer containing, as a monomer, an unsaturated compound (a) having a hydroxyl group, and at least one unsaturated compound (b) selected from the group consisting of unsaturated carboxylate, styrene, unsaturated carboxylic acid, unsaturated hydrocarbon, vinyl ester, and a halogenated vinyl compound; a curing agent (B) containing a compound having an isocyanate group; and a compound (C) having 2 or more of a carboxylic acid group or 1 or more of an anhydrous carboxylic acid group.

Coatings based on condensates containing fluorine are produced by applying a coating agent to a substrate. Said coating agent contains: a) 0.001 to 100 wt. % of a polycondensate of one or more hydrolyzable compounds of at least one element M, selected from main groups III to V and/or from subgroups II to IV of the periodic table of elements, whereby at least one portion of these compounds comprise, in addition to hydrolyzable groups A, non-hydrolyzable groups B that contain carbon, and the total molar ratio of Groups A to Groups B in the underlying monomeric parent compounds ranges from 100:1 to 1:2, whereby 0.1 to 100 mol % of groups B are groups B' which comprise, on average, 5 to 30 fluorine atoms that are bound to one or more aliphatic carbon atoms, said atoms being separated by at least two atoms of M, and contains; b) 0 to 99.999 wt. % of a supporting medium having a liquid to wax-like consistency and optionally c) up to 90 wt. % of nanoscalar inorganic solid particles. Said coating agent is dried at an ambient temperature (less than 40 °C) while forming a coating having a dry layer thickness exceeding no more than 600 nm.

A polymer composition crosslinkable with ultraviolet which comprises a polymer containing 0.001 to 10 wt.% iodine and/or bromine and, incorporated therein, a photoinitiator as a crosslinking agent and a polyfunctional unsaturated compound as a crosslinking aid. By using iodine and/or bromine as crosslinking sites, various polymers including fluoropolymers, which have conventionally been extremely difficult to crosslink with ultraviolet, can be crosslinked with ultraviolet and can be easily applied in situ at low temperatures.

Es werden wäßrige, pastöse Überzugszusammensetzungen beschrieben, die ein fluorhaltiges Copolymeres aus Tetrafluorethylen, Vinylidenfluorid und Hexafluorpropen und ein Polyacrylat-Verdickungsmittel enthalten, welches aus einem im wesentlichen unvernetzten Copolymeren der Acrylsäure oder Methacrylsäure besteht, das in einer 1 gew.-%igen wäßrig-ammoniakalischen Lösung bei einem pH-Wert von 9 unter einer Schergeschwindigkeit von 1000 s⁻¹ eine Viskosit von 4 bis 40 mPa s besitzt. Die Überzugszusammensetzungen eignen sich besonders für das Aufbringen auf textile Substrate mit Hilfe des Streichverfahrens.

Provided is a coating composition capable of forming a coating film layer, which has low coefficient of linear expansion at low dielectricity, excellent adhesive properties even when the surface of a counterpart material is smooth, and few coating film defects such as cracks and holes. A coating composition comprising 2 or more kinds of fluororesin emulsions, wherein at least 1 kind of the fluororesin, a fluororesin (I), has a number of functional groups of 30 to 1,000 per 10 6 main-chain carbon atoms, and the coating composition further comprises an anisotropic filler, a surfactant, and a liquid medium.
