摘要: An apparatus and method for providing multimedia services is disclosed. The apparatus comprises means for storing the identification information received from a device at registration, means for receiving a message with identification information from the device, and means for determining, based on the identification information, which policy decision function to contact. The means for determining are configured to use the same policy decision function for a plurality of sessions of a Packet Data Protocol (PDP) context.

摘要: A network device (e.g., an evolved Node B (eNB), user equipment (UE) or the like) can operate wireless local area network (WLAN) mobility between groups of WLAN access points (APs) in LTE/WLAN aggregation based on control by the eNB and further between WLAP APs within a particular group based on control by the UE. A long term evolution (LTE) link can communicate a first set of WLAN data related to a first set of WLAN access points (APs) that enables the UE to generate a WLAN mobility operation from a first WLAN AP to a second WLAN AP within the first set of WLAN APs based on a determination generated by the UE. The UE can be prompted by the eNB to also select another WLAN AP of the second set of WLAN APs coupled to a different WLAN Termination or logic node.

摘要: Embodiments of the present invention provide a data transmission apparatus and method. The method includes: receiving, by a base station, a downlink data packet sent by a core network device; sending, by the base station, a first downlink data packet in the downlink data packet to user equipment UE, and sending a second downlink data packet in the downlink data packet to a Wireless Fidelity access point wifi AP by using an Xw interface, so that the wifi AP sends the second downlink data packet to the UE, where the base station manages a wifi radio resource by using the Xw interface. The data transmission apparatus and method provided in the embodiments of the present invention can resolve a problem of low radio resource utilization during a data transmission process in the prior art.

摘要: A mechanism for an apparatus in a communication network is described. The mechanism comprises receiving, from a second apparatus (A31), a message comprising an IP address of the second apparatus (A31) and an IP address of a user equipment (A11), wherein said user equipment (A11) being connected to said communication network via the second apparatus (A31); determining if a mapping table relating to the IP address of the user equipment (A11) exists or not; retrieving an IP address from the mapping table based on the IP address of the user equipment (A11) in the event the mapping table exists, wherein said IP address being associated with the IP address of the user equipment (A11) in the mapping table; if the IP address of the second apparatus (A31) is different from the retrieved IP address, sending a request to a third network element (A121) identified by the retrieved IP address to obtain TCP connection details and updating the mapping table by associating the IP address of the user equipment (A11) with the IP address of the second apparatus (A31).

摘要: Embodiments of the invention relate to methods and apparatus for adapting the IKE/IPsec peer status time interval in accordance with the service delivered to the UE. The peer status time interval is used to detect IKE/IPsec peer liveliness in the UE. The evolved Packet Data Gateway, ePDG, sets the peer status time interval according to the type of bearers or GTP tunnels established with the PDN GW. The ePDG uses a default peer status interval T1 when the ePDG connects the UE to the PDN using the default GTP tunnel established at the time of PDN connection establishment. When a multimedia service is established for the UE, one or more dedicated GTP tunnels of different quality of service requirements may be established at the ePDG. The ePDG would then use a different peer status time interval T2 that may be derived from the quality of service parameters associated with the one or more dedicated GTP tunnels.

摘要: The present invention provides a method, a device and a system for implementing a local gateway service. Wherein the method includes: adding, by a first connection device, a second connection device for a terminal (300); interacting collocated local gateway address information between the first connection device and the second connection device (301); and reporting, by the first connection device, determined collocated local gateway address information to a core network, and using, by the core network, the collocated local gateway address information to perform the local gateway service (302). Through the technical solution provided by the embodiment of the present invention, the core network obtains the collocated local gateway address information, and the local gateway service is implemented aiming at a dual-connection service scenario.
