The present invention provides a method for validating positional data in vehicle surveillance applications wherein vehicles transmit positional data indicating their own position to surrounding vehicles using a data link over which a transmission is initiated at a given transmission point in time that is known by all users of said data link. The method comprises the steps of: receiving, at a receiving unit, a signal carrying positional data indicating an alleged position of a vehicle, transmitted from a radio source over said data link; estimating the distance between the receiving unit and the radio source based on the time of flight, TOF, and the propagation velocity of the received signal, said TOF being determined based on the time elapsed from the transmission point in time of said signal to the time of reception of at least a first part of the signal; and, determining a deviation value indicating the difference between the distance to the position of a vehicle according to the received positional data and the estimated distance to the radio source.

In particular, an infant's mobility event may cause critical event processing indicating that an infant has rolled over and may be suffocating. Such an event is classified as a Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS)-like event. The system may include a wireless pendant device and a wireless monitor server. The wireless pendant device is configured to measure acceleration motion of a subject, to generate acceleration data from the acceleration motion and to communicate the acceleration data with the wireless monitor server. The wireless monitor server is configured to analyze the acceleration data communicated by the wireless pendant device and to provide an output related to the analysis.

Methods and systems for converting synchronous circuit designs to asynchronous circuit designs, and particularly programmable asynchronous circuit designs. Provide is a systematic, workable and repeatable process for evaluating synchronous circuit designs, converting the wires, switches/connections and logic functions to equivalent-function asynchronous circuit designs and hence implementing a functionally equivalent asynchronous circuit with all the benefits thereof. Further provided are a process for systematically doing the conversion and hardware equivalents (in form or functional description) for the asynchronous components. Using the present invention, any synchronous circuit design can be converted to an asynchronous equivalent, typically with no change to the original design implementation.
