The present invention relates to a woven polyester fabric for use in airbags. The present invention includes a woven fabric using a polyester filament yam, wherein the polyester filament yam has a tenacity of about 65 cN/tex or greater and an Instantaneous Thermal Creep (ITC) at 100° C of about 0.5 % or less. Additional embodiments of the present invention include an airbag made from the woven polyester fabric. Woven fabrics of the present invention can reduce the extent of seam combing during a hot module deployment of an airbag.

The present invention relates to a cross-linkable adhesive silicone composition, having a very short cross-linking time and capable of providing an adhesive having mechanical properties sufficient so that it can be used as an adhesive joint and provide waterproofing of a seam joining two substrates. Such a composition comprises: (A) at least a polyorganosiloxane (POSA) having, for each molecule, at least two alcenyl groups, preferably, C2-C6 linked to silicon; (B) at least one polyorganosiloxane cross-linking agent having, for each molecule, at least two hydrogen atoms linked to silicon; (C) a catalytically efficient amount of at least one catalyst containing at least one metallic compound, preferably platinum; (D) a reinforcing mineral filler; and is characterized in that it also comprises at least one poluorganosiloxane (POS A') gum having a weight content of alcenyl(s) group(s), preferably vinyl(s), between 0.001% and 0.2%, and having a consistency of between 300 and 1200 at 25°C.

A process for producing a coated airbag fabric comprises the steps of (a) providing an airbag fabric, (b) contacting at least one surface of the airbag fabric with a coating composition comprising a plurality of particles having a diameter of about 20 µm or less, and (c) drying the fabric treated in step (b) to produce a finish on the airbag fabric.
