摘要: A shelving and package locating system for delivery vehicles includes one or more shelves for storing packages within a delivery vehicle during delivery. Each package is associated with both a geographic delivery address and an assigned location on a particular shelf within the delivery vehicle. A GPS unit determines the location of the delivery vehicle during delivery, and a computer provides the shelf location of a particular package when that package's delivery-location information substantially corresponds to vehicle location information. Several embodiments exist for registering the location of the package in the vehicle at load time, such as scanned location indicia, light sensors on shelves, pressure sensors on shelves, pressure sensors on the floor of the vehicle, and light spot. Several embodiments exist for locating the package in the vehicle at delivery time, such as a pick-to-light system that employs variable length lighting and a light pointer system that generates a light spot.

摘要: A storage cabinet according to an embodiment stores a plurality of items includes a first reader configured to read item information recorded in a first tag of all items stored in a housing, when a door is in a closed state, and judges whether an item exists in the housing that is past a reference date on a basis of an expiration date of the item, based on a reading result of the first reader. If it is judged that an item exists in the housing that is past the reference date, a first mode or a second mode is selected based on an operation of a user. The first mode is a mode in which retrieval of an item other than an item having a period of time to an expiration date which is the shortest among items of the identical item code, is restricted. The second mode is a mode in which retrieval of an item other than an expired item is restricted.

摘要: Systems, methods, and machine-executable coded instruction sets for controlling the movement of transporting devices and/or operations conducted at various workstations are disclosed. In particular, the disclosure provides methods, systems and computer-readable media for controlling the movement of transporting devices configured for fully—and/or partly automated handling of goods and/or controlling operations conducted at various workstations.

摘要: The present invention relates to a bin storage system (3) comprising a three-dimensional bin storage structure (15) and a plurality of robot vehicles (1) which are movable on top of the bin storage structure to retrieve storage bins (2) from the structure. The structure comprises: pillars which are positioned with internal distances and in a rectangular arrangement accommodating the bins and defining storage columns (8, 8a, 8b) for the bins; supporting rails (13) arranged in a matrix on top of the pillars providing support (14) for the robot vehicles and allowing each robot vehicle to travel across the structure in a first direction (X) and in a second direction (Y); a storage bin delivery station (60); and a bin lift device (50) which receives bins from the robot vehicles and transport them in a vertical direction from a top level of the structure to the delivery station. Each robot vehicle comprises a vehicle body (4) having: first and second sets of rolling means (10, 11) for moving the robot vehicle along the supporting rails; a cavity (7) for receiving a bin; and a lifting device (9) for retrieving a bin from a storage column and storing the bin in the cavity.
