Der Schneckenförderer (2) weist ein von oben beschickbares Gehäuse (5) mit einem unterseitigen Auslaßstutzen (6), eine drehbar gelagerte Förderschnecke sowie einen an das Gehäuse angeflanschten Förderschneckenantrieb (8) auf. An dem Auslaßstutzen (6) ist ein Teleskoprohr angeordnet. Erfindungsgemäß ist das Gehäuse (5) des Schneckenförderers (2) an der Unterseite des Kohlefüllwagens horizontal beweglich angeordnet sowie mittels eines Stellantriebes (11) bei unverändertem Standort des Füllwagens zwischen einer Ausgangsstellung und einer Füllstellung bewegbar. In der Ausgangsstellung ist der Auslaßstutzen (6) seitlich zum Fülloch versetzt positioniert. In der Füllstellung fluchtet der Auslaßstutzen (6) im wesentlichen mit dem Fülloch.

An apparatus for manufacturing cement clinker is disclosed in which raw material powder of cement pre-heated and partially pre-calcined by a pre-heating unit such as a suspension pre-heater (or a provided pre-calciner ) is charged into a granulating furnace as to be granulated, thus-obtained granulated material is charged into a sintering furnace as to be sintered, and the sintered material is cooled and recovered by a cooling unit, the apparatus having a granulating furnace so that the granulating performance of the granulating furnace is improved. A fuel supply unit for forming a local hot region is disposed immediately above a porous perforated distributor disposed in the throat portion between the granulating furnace and the sintering furnace so that the granulating furnace is formed into a jet fluidized bed structure, the lower portion of the granulating furnace has an inverse frustum of circular cone (a cone portion) so formed as to cause the granulated material to form a downward moving bed, and raw material powder of cement is blown through the side wall of the cone portion, and it is sufficiently dispersed in the moving bed before it reaches the local hot region.

A method and apparatus for feeding iron-bearing particles into a metallurgical furnace such as an electric arc furnace, comprising a molten iron holding vessel (10), having a wall (12) extending above said molten iron, a preferably screw type feeder (40) mounted on the exterior of said vessel (10), a feeding port (50) in said wall shaped to permit passage of said feeder into the interior of said vessel (10) and located at such a height from said molten iron so that no molten materials will spill out from said furnace through said port during the normal operation and maneuvering of said furnace; and actuating means (44) for extending said screw type feeder (40) from a retracted position out of the vessel to an extended position into said vessel. Said iron-bearing particles are charged at a point proximate to said molten iron, and at the same time are positively pushed into the slag layer (20) in the direction of the molten iron and also of the hottest zone of the furnace whereby the overall productivity of the furnace is increased.
