    Abstract: A semi-permeable membrane system for magnetic particles in fluids (1, 2), comprising a membrane (3) with two membrane surfaces (6) acting as a separation between two fluid fractions with at least one channel that bridges over the membrane. The aim of the invention is to provide a semi-permeable membrane which can be used for endosmosis for magnetic particle fractions and which acts as a semi-permeable barrier for magnetic microparticles. The system is designed to enable continuous penetration of magnetic microparticles, said microparticles changing from one fluid on one side of the membrane to one fluid on the other side. The aim of the invention is achieved by means of a membrane system comprising means for producing a fluid flow between the two fluid fractions in an axial manner in relation to the channel with two switching positions corresponding to the two directions of flow and a connectable and disconnectable magnetic field in the channel, wherein in one operating state a cyclical exchange between the two switching positions is carried out and the magnetic field is connected in the first switching position and disconnected in the second.

    Abstract: The invention relates to a module for the filtration of liquid mediums, especially for purifying waste water, comprising a plurality of essentially planar and flexible filter membrane pockets comprising at least one opening which drains the inner area thereof.     Abstract: A device and method for reducing biofouling on a surface of an object is provided, wherein the surface is at least partially submerged in an aqueous environment. The device comprises an enclosure which is or becomes water permeable during use, said enclosure defining an open proximal end and a closed distal end such that said enclosure at least partially surrounds the object while the surface is at least partially submerged in the aqueous environment. The open end defines one or more walls that remain spaced apart from the surface of the object in a not fully sealed arrangement when in use. The enclosure comprises perforations in the one or more walls for passing of water into and/or out of the enclosure, and wherein the one or more walls are flexible and comprise an inner surface. In use the enclosure at least partially surrounds the object in the aqueous environment such that the inner surface of the one or more walls of the enclosure faces the surface of the object and the enclosure allows water exchange therethrough to the surface of the object while preventing or limiting biofouling on the surface of the object such that a measure of one or more water chemistry features inside the enclosure is different compared to an equivalent measure outside of the enclosure.
