    摘要: A method of controlling a wireless device, the method comprising:
    controlling at least a receiver of a radio of the wireless device during a plurality of awake periods and a plurality of sleep periods, the awake periods alternating in time with the sleep periods, such that the receiver is always on during each of the awake periods, and the radio is off for at least some of the sleep periods;
    receiving, during one of the awake periods, signaling that defines a downlink transmission resource to communicate a packet or sub-packet, the transmission resource allocated during a portion of a sleep period;
    controlling the receiver to be on during the portion of the sleep period; and monitoring, during the portion of the sleep period, for signaling that defines an additional transmission resource to communicate an additional downlink packet or sub-packet, and in the event such signaling is received, controlling the receiver to be on for an additional portion of a sleep period.

    摘要: A system is provided for transmitting a low code rate spatially multiplexed channel on multiple antennas. The system includes a transmitter and a processor. The processor is configured such that the processor encodes a block of information bits to form channel coded bits, wherein the ratio of the number of channel coded bits to the number of information bits is greater than one; and the processor maps the channel coded bits to modulation symbols, and each channel coded bit is mapped once to a modulation symbol. The transmitter is configured to transmit a first portion of the modulation symbols using a spreading sequence on a first antenna of the multiple antennas and to transmit a second portion of the modulation symbols using the spreading sequence on a second antenna of the multiple antennas.

    摘要: Systems and methods for signalling transitions between talk-spurt state (24, 30, 50, 74, 80, 100) and silence state (52, 102) for wireless terminals 10-1 having semi-persistently allocated uplink resources are employed. A layer 1/2 indication 40, 56, 90, 106 of the state transitions may be transmitted using a resource that is specifically allocated for that purpose. Alternatively, ACK/NACK signalling 126 may be employed. Layer 1 indications may be employed for both state transition types. Alternatively, in-band MAC layer signalling 84, 86, 104 may be used to signal state transition from talk-spurt state to silence, or the network may deduce this state transition on its own. A different uplink wireless transition resource is allocated for the talk-spurt state vs. the silence state.

    摘要: A system 700 for providing control channel information is provided. The system 700 comprises a processor 720 programmed to promote transmission of a multicast control channel (MCCH) 150. The MCCH 150 includes information related to a service notifying user equipment when transmission on a resource is blocked by one or more cells within a plurality of cells. The MCCH 150 further includes information notifying user equipment when the service is transmitted at less than full power by one or more of the cells of the plurality of cells.
