摘要: Aspects relate to methods and apparatus for dedicated bearer (DB) establishment handling during call setup for long term evolution. According to aspects, a method is provided herein for wireless communications that may be performed, for example, by a user equipment (UE). The method generally includes establishing a connection with a first access point (AP) to perform a call set up procedure for a call; receiving from the first AP a message associated with handover to a second AP; delaying giving up the call setup procedure for a duration if the message includes or is associated with an indication to release a dedicated bearer; and allowing establishment of a DB with the second AP during the duration. Consequently, the DB can be established with the second AP, without the UE giving up the call setup, and the call can be performed, thus improving user experience. Numerous other aspects are provided.

The server version of the interactive application generates second displayable content based in part on the first data and additional data relating to the server version of the interactive application, wherein the first displayable content is different from the second displayable content. The server version of the interactive application, transmits the second displayable content to the main video rendering device to be rendered on a main video display.

摘要: In an embodiment, a transmitting device transmits a real-time media stream for a real-time communication session to a set of target devices. At least one of the set of target devices detects a media reception gap in the real-time communication session, and transmits a rewind request to the transmitting device to trigger the transmitting device to generate and provide a time-delayed version of the real-time media stream that includes media lost during the media reception gap. The transmitting device generates a rewind stream based on the rewind request and transmits the rewind stream to the at least one target device.

摘要: Techniques to optimize video-call communications are disclosed. The link quality capability of a wireless video-call session and the requirements of the video-call session are determined. The link quality capability determination is based at least on measurements through the entire communications chain, including user, client device, operating system, application, air interface, cell sector, and backhaul parameters. Those parameters may be determined from static profiles, dynamically determined or be statistically derived. Client device response may include adapting the rate of data captured by a video camera, microphone, or other data capture device used in the video-call session. For video-conferencing scenarios, communications throughput is optimized by consolidating video streams.
