The light guide also includes an organosiloxane block copolymer having a weight average molecular weight of at least 20,000 g/mole. The organosiloxane block copolymer includes 40 to 90 mole percent disiloxy units of the formula [R12SiO2/2] arranged in linear blocks each having an average of from 10 to 400 disiloxy units [R12SiO2/2] per linear block, 10 to 60 mole percent trisiloxy units of the formula [R2SiO3/2] arranged in non-linear blocks each having a weight average molecular weight of at least 500 g/mol, and 0.5 to 25 mole percent silanol groups [≡SiOH]. R1 is independently a C1 to C30 hydrocarbyl and R2 is independently a C1 to C20 hydrocarbyl. Moreover, at least 30% of the non-linear blocks are crosslinked with another non-linear block and aggregated in nano-domains.

A method of preparing a DIABS-based silsesquioxane resin for use in an antireflective hard-mask coating for photolithography is provided. Methods of preparing an antireflective coating from the DIABS-based silsesquioxane resin and using said antireflective coating in photolithography is alternatively presented. The DIABS-based silsequioxane resin has structural units formed from the hydrolysis and condensation of silane monomers including di-t-butoxydiacetoxysilane (DIABS) and at least one selected from the group of R 1 SiX 3 , R 2 SiX 3 , R 3 SiX 3 , and SiX 4 with water; wherein R 1 is H or an alkyl group, X is a halide or an alkoxy group, R 2 is a chromophore moiety, and R 3 is a reactive site or crosslinking site. The DIABS-based silsesqioxane resin is characterized by the presence of at least one tetra-functional SiO 4/2 unit formed via the hydrolysis of di-t-butoxydiacetoxysilane (DIABS).

A wall insulation panel for use on a wall comprises at least the successive layers of: a first protective panel having a wall-meeting surface and a vacuum insulating panel (VIP) facing surface, an intermediate VIP panel; and a second protective panel having a VIP facing surface and an outward facing surface. There is an expansion region between at least one of the first and second protective panels and the VIP panel to allow for expansion of the VIP panel without deformation of the outward facing surface of the second protective panel. In this way, the expansion region allows for expansion of the VIP panel without deformation of the VIP facing surface of the second panel, and thus without deformation of the outward facing surface. This maintains the integrity and aesthetic appearance of the outward facing surface, and any further surface or layer thereon, such as a rendered layer.

The present invention relates to a method of treating a surface comprising a silicone elastomer having a plurality of Si-H groups by contacting at least one region of the surface with a solution comprising a surface treatment compound, to give a treated surface with Si-OH, Si-OR, or Si-C groups. The present invention relates to a hydrosilylation-curable silicone composition. In some examples, the hydrosilylation-curable silicone composition includes an organohydrogen-polysiloxane having an average of at least forty silicon-bonded hydrogen atoms per molecule, a cross-linking agent having an average of at least two aliphatic unsaturated carbon-carbon bonds per molecule, and a hydrosilylation catalyst, wherein the mole ratio of silicon-bonded hydrogen atoms in the composition to aliphatic unsaturated carbon-carbon bonds in the composition is at least 20:1. The invention also relates to membranes, methods of making membranes, gas permeable supports for membranes, and methods of gas separation using membranes.
