    摘要: The IR sensor is configured to be mounted proximate to a door to be monitored. The IR sensor has an IR transmitter and an IR receiver. The IR transmitter has an active period and an idle period. The IR transmitter transmits control data packets which are provided by the processor during the active period. The IR receiver has an active period for detecting IR data and reflected data packets. Each of the reflected data packets has a packet IR reflectivity. The memory stores a door IR reflectivity associated with a door surface of the door, and the processor compares the packet IR reflectivity to the door IR reflectivity to determine at least a door position of the door.

    摘要: An electro-optical detection system for detecting objects within the boundaries of a monitored zone, comprises a plurality of LED emitter and photodetector pairs. Each emitter (12) emits a beam of pulses of light energy into the monitored zone, and its paired photodetector (14) detects light energy including light energy from the beam that is reflected from an object within the monitored zone and generates light detection signals. A controller (10) operates the emitter and photodetector pairs and evaluates the light detection signals to discriminate between light energy of beams reflected from an object within the monitored zone and other light energy. The controller can selectively adjust the evaluation of the light detection signals to adjust the effective boundaries of the monitored zone.

    摘要: An electronic article surveillance system responsive to the distance to a target within an interrogation zone is provided. The interrogation zone is defined by an electromagnetic field generated with a known level and transmitted by at least one antenna. A target within the interrogation zone can be any object, such as a person or shopping cart, within the interrogation zone. The target may include an EAS marker securable to an article for passage through the interrogation zone. The EAS marker is detectable at a frequency when in the electromagnetic field, and is detected by EAS detection equipment, as known in the art. The target within the interrogation zone is detected, and the distance from the antenna to the target is measured. The level of the electromagnetic field is controlled according to the distance to the target within the interrogation zone. The output level is adjusted according to the distance to the target. The EAS system can include multiple antennas each producing an electromagnetic field that in combination define the interrogation zone. A ranging transducer is mounted near each antenna, or at opposing ends of the interrogation zone to measure the distance to a target within the interrogation zone. The output level of each electromagnetic field transmitted by each antenna can be individually controlled according to the distance from that antenna to the target. Multiple targets can be detected, and the power level of each electromagnetic field is adjusted accordingly. The electromagnetic field can be switched off and on by detection of the target in the interrogation zone. The direction of motion of the target can also be detected and used as a factor in alarm activation decisions.
