摘要： The implantation method consists in the successive introduction of multilateral needle salients into the spongy bone whilst the needle salients are symmetrically placed on the terminal surfaces of the endoprosthesis, up to the resistance with its edge and the resistance surface, whilst the remaining free area between the needle salients is filled up to the terminal surfaces in the 'biological silence' by osteoblasts. The endoprosthesis distinguishes itself by the fact that it is composed by the glenoid cavity (1) and the head (2) which have round terminal surfaces (3 and 11) with multilateral needle salients (4) which are placed on them (1, 2) with a different length and mutually parallel axes which are perpendicular to the planes in which lies the round resistance edge (6) of the glenoid cavity as well as the resistance plane (10) of the head.

摘要： A joint prosthesis for interconnecting the ends of adjoining bones includes a cushion (61) of expanded PTFE having at least two facets (68, 69) for attachment to the bones. The cushion may or may not include stems (62, 63) for insertion into the bones. An optional sheath (139) surrounds the non-facet surfaces of the cushion for preventing adherence of tissue. The motion of the prosthesis is defined or limited by the orientation of the facets and/or by the porosity of the cushion and/or by an insert (123) within the cushion.

摘要： A slurry compound prepared by a sintering powdery material and a binder is press-molded to obtain a contour for the final product applicable to a bone-implant such as hip prosthesis. The molded body is given a programmed movement of rotation and/or swinging to impart a centrifugal force to the sintering particles which direct toward the inner wall of the mold cavity. The final product obtained after sintering has a hollow interior having no communication to the outside. Imparting conditions of rotating/swinging movement may be changed or programmed in order to achieve a desired structure or constitution of the final product. By way of example, larger particles concentrate near the inner wall of the mold to provide a rough, porous surface of the body, whereas it has a dense core consisting mainly of sintered fine particles. A hip prosthesis having a ceramic-rich femoral head and a metal-rich stem may also be produced by so programming the movement imparting conditions.
