摘要: Characters to be grown, growth factor data representing the growth degree of each character and background information for expressing background environment for each character are stored. According to a result of analysis of a sound characteristic of sound source data analyzed by an input data analyzing section 211, a background information processing section 213 or a character processing section 215 retrieves data for realizing a corresponding expression manner. An image managing section 220 produces CG images representing a character and background environment based on the data in question and allows them to be displayed on a screen, so that a game player can confirm musical taste of the game player by watching the images in the growth process of the character. As a result, there is provided a display control apparatus which can diversify an expression manner of images according to inputted sound source data and thus enhance attractiveness of a game.

摘要: An electrotherapy apparatus comprising a sensor for detecting periodically recurring signal peaks, in particular the R-R peaks of an electrocardiogram of a person, a processor for deriving from the time interval between said periodically recurring signal peaks a time delay corresponding to approximately the end of the T-wave and a trigger system initiated by an output signal of said processor or embodied within said processor for applying electrical stimulations to one or more active electrodes provided on the said person at a time related to the end of said time delay is characterized in that the processor is adapted to generate, in addition to an initial electrical stimulation to induce muscle contraction, a plurality of further electrical stimulation pulses with intervals between each of said further electrical stimulation pulses, so that said further electrical stimulation pulses maintain said muscle contraction over a period extending from said initial electrical stimulation substantially up to a time just before a next expected R-peak.

摘要: Methods for the preparation of stable liposome formulations of protonatable therapeutic agents. The methods involve loading a therapeutic agent into preformed liposomes having a methylamine concentration gradient across the lipid bilayer of the liposomes. These methods provide liposome formulations which are more stable, more cost effective, and easier to prepare in a clinical environment than those previously available. The present invention also provides the pharmaceutical compositions prepared by the above methods, a kit for the preparation of liposome formulations of therapeutic agents, and methods for their use.

摘要: Supply system (10) for the delivery of elements (130, 150) to one or more users (12) comprising a forwarding device (76, 76', 76'') which supplies the elements from a stored quantity (78) to a sorting device (70, 70'), which only permits elements having a predetermined position to pass and with a transport device (72, 72'), which transports the positionally correctly sorted elements (130, 150) to the user (12), characterized in that the forwarding device (76, 76', 76'') forms part of a basic module while the sorting device (70, 70') and the transport device (72, 72') belong to an interchangeable module. In this way the components of the supply system (10) can be manufactured and used more rationally, whereby the investment costs sink and can be more quickly amortized.

摘要: A nut and panel assembly useful for pierce, clinch and weld nuts used in automotive applications, wherein the nut bore must be masked or blocked during paint application, including electrodeposition coatings. A generally cylindrical polymeric plug or blocking member (10) is press fitted into the nut bore (18) preferably prior to attaching the nut (16) to the metal panel (22). Following installation of the nut (16) in the panel (22), the plug (10) masks the nut bore (18) during the later coating operation. The disclosed plug or blocking member (10) includes an axial configured cavity (12,14) and the plug (10) may then be removed following coating by threading a bolt having an end protuberance configured to be received in the plug axial cavity (12,14) into the nut bore (18). The plug (10) is then retained on the bolt protuberance following removal from the threaded bore (18).

摘要: Chemical sensors for detecting analytes in fluids comprise first and second conductive elements (e.g., electrical leads) electrically coupled to and separated by a chemically sensitive resistor which provides an electrical path between the conductive elements. The resistor comprises a plurality of alternating nonconductive regions (comprising a nonconductive organic polymer) and conductive regions (comprising a conductive material) transverse to the electrical path. The resistor provides a difference in resistance between the conductive elements when contacted with a fluid comprising a chemical analyte at a first concentration, than when contacted with a fluid comprising the chemical analyte at a second different concentration. Arrays of such sensors are constructed with at least two sensors having different chemically sensitive resistors providing dissimilar such differences in resistance. Variability in chemical sensitivity from sensor to sensor is provided by qualitatively or quantitatively varying the composition of the conductive and/or nonconductive regions. An electronic nose for detecting an analyte in a fluid may be constructed by using such arrays in conjunction with an electrical measuring device electrically connected to the conductive elements of each sensor.
