摘要： An extrudable gypsum plaster paste is disclosed comprising: α gypsum plaster; water in a substantially stoichiometric amount; a binder; and a clay or another rheology modifier functionally equivalent to a clay. Such pastes can have a yield stress sufficient to make the paste self supporting. The invention also provides a method for making an extrudable gypsum plaster paste comprising: mixing α gypsum plaster, water in a substantially stoichiometric amount and a binder; and mixing into that mixture a clay or other rheology modifier functionally equivalent to a clay.

摘要： A safety latch mechanism controls the early stage of opening movement of a ceiling access panel that is pivotally mounted in a frame. A spring-biased laterally movable detent pin (2) is mounted on the access panel or on the frame, and traverses a track (11,12,13,14,15) in a guide and holding member (10) on the other of the access panel and frame as the panel is moved to and from its fully closed position. The guide and holding member has an open mouth portion (11) and a cyclic track for the detent pin (2), including a holding cup (14) for receiving the weight of the access panel and holding it in a partially open position. The access panel can be released from that partially open position by lifting it slightly, when the detent pin (2) moves under its spring bias through a track portion (15) which returns it to the open mouth (11).

摘要： A multi-layer gypsum board having face sheets comprising inorganic fiber randomly oriented glass fiber, completely impregnated with gypsum slurry penetrates through the random interstices between the inorganic fibers and coats the board surfaces with gypsum slurry. The multi-layer gypsum board may have a polymeric compounded added to unset gypsum, where the compound may comprise one of the following; plyacrylamide, polymethylacrylamide, polyvinyidene chloride, polyamide, poly(hexamethylene adipamide), polyvinylchloride, polyethylene, cellulose acetate, polyisobutylene, polycarbonate, polypropylene, polystyrene, polychloroprene, styrene, butadiene, natural rubber, poly(2,6 dimethyl pentene oxide), poly(4-methyl-1-pentene) and polydimethyl siloxane. The multi-layer gypsum board may comprise a first layer of a mixture of polymeric compound additive and set gypsum having an outer surface and being impregnated in a thin sheet of randomly aligned inorganic fibers so as to encase the core gypsum within two facing layers having a combination of set gypsum and polymeric compound.

摘要： A gypsum board panel having two facing main surfaces and machine edge surfaces, the board including an outer gypsum layer in which a polymer additive has been entrained, and the machine edges being shaped to have a three-dimensional feature, such that the features are complementary, and one machine edge surface can engage the complementary surface of the machine edge of an adjacent gypsum board panel. The three-dimensional features may include a triangular, in cross- section, ridge, or a rectangular ledge, or a concave edge, with a corresponding complementary groove or depression on the opposed edge for engagement with the edge of an adjacent board. A plurality of fastener plugs, taking the form of, for example strips or dots, can be disposed on the outer facing surface of the board to provide an entry point for penetration of a fastener, such as a nail or screw, and a layer of sheathing material, for example a covering polymeric coating, is optionally disposed over the outer board panel surface to further enhance the moisture repellent properties of the board.
