The invention relates to a method for producing improved cold rolled strip which is capable of being deep drawn or ironed and which has a carbon content of less than 0.5 wt. %. The invention also relates to a cold rolled strip that can be produced by such a method, preferably used for producing cylindrical containers and, in particular, battery containers by deep drawing or ironing. The strip that is cold rolled with a cold rolling degree ranging from 30 to 95 % is subjected to a thermal treatment in the annealing furnace and to a preferably galvanic coating of at least one of both strip surfaces. In order to obtain an isotropic steel strip which has a low level of texturing and which has a low tendency toward earing, the coating produced with one or multiple layers contains the elements nickel/ cobalt/ iron/ bismuth/ indium/ palladium/ gold/ tin or alloys thereof, whereby the thermal treatment is effected by an annealing, which is carried out before or after the coating process, in the continuously running strip annealing furnace at a temperature greater than the limit temperature to the austenite range (η range).

Die Erfindung betrifft ein Kaltband mit elektrolytisch aufgebrachter Nickelbeschichtung hoher Diffusionstiefe und ein Verfahren zur Herstellung des Kaltbandes. Um ein Kaltband und ein Verfahren zu seiner Herstellung zu entwickeln, welches verringerte Klebeneigung besitzt, gut umformbar ist, hohe Diffusionstiefen der Beschichtung und günstiges Korrosionsverhalten aufweist, in seinem elektrochemischen Verhalten verbessert ist und wirtschaftlich herstellbar ist, wird mit der Erfindung vorgeschlagen, daß die Nickelschicht eine Stärke von 1 µm bis 6 µm aufweist und eine elektrolytisch aufgebrachte Cobaltschicht einer Stärke von 0,01 µm bis 1,0 µm trägt, wobei das Kaltband abschließend nach der Beschichtung mit einer Temperatur zwischen 580°C und 710°C wärmebehandelt ist.

The method involves forming a plated substrate comprising of a metal substrate provided with a nickel layer or with a nickel and cobalt layer followed by electrodepositing a molybdenum oxide layer from an aqueous solution onto the plated substrate, which is subsequently subjected to an annealing step in a reducing atmosphere to reduce the molybdenum oxide in the molybdenum oxide layer to molybdenum metal in a reduction annealing step and to form a diffusion layer which contains nickel and molybdenum, and optionally cobalt.

The invention relates to an offset printing plate for sheet fed offset printing, the offset printing plate comprising a metal substrate and a top layer having a low thermal conductivity. According to the invention, the metal substrate is an aluminium substrate having a thickness between 0.05 and 2 mm, an intermediate layer having a low thermal conductivity consisting of anodised aluminium having been provided on top of the metal substrate in a thickness between 1 and 25 µm, and the top layer consists of titanium and/or molybdenum, or an alloy thereof, provided on the intermediate layer in a thickness between 1 and 10 µm. The invention also relates to a method for producing such an offset printing plate.
