The image reconstruction system (100) comprises an updated formula providing unit (120) which provides an updated formula (125) based on an iteration statistical model. The updated formula (125) comprises a data item and a regularization item. According to the invention, the regularization item is not corrected, but the weight of the contribution of a measurement result of an individual is corrected on the basis of each image voxel and measurement. The contribution of each measurement result is corrected by using an extra weight on the basis of each image voxe/measurement. The extra weight of each measurement result is determined by calculating noise of each measurement ray perpendicular to each voxel position and each voxel and measuring a related weight for each measurement result and is integrated into the data item of the updated formula.
