    摘要： A refillable apparatus (10) for dispensing flexible sheets (48) from a stack of sheets (46), the apparatus being composed of: 1) a relatively flat, flexible base devoid of dispensing slots, the flexible base being adapted to resiliently fold along a fold axis; and 2) a flexible cover defining an opening aligned in parallel relation to the fold axis of the flexible base, said flexible cover being attached to said flexible base and adapted to contain a stack of sheets (46); so that the opening defines a dispensing slot through which flexible sheets (48) may be individually dispensed while the flexible base remains unfolded, and the opening defines a refill gap through which a stack (46) of flexible sheets may be inserted when the flexible base is folded back along the fold axis. The stack of sheets (46) may be in the form of a pack of sheets within a plastic wrap (50) provided with an aperture (42) along a major face of the pack which conforms to the dispensing slot of the apparatus (10).

    摘要： A dispenser (10) for individually dispensing sheets of material from a column (42) of sheets of material formed by a plurality of vertically stacked, folded sheets of material (46) is provided. The dispenser (10) is sized for receiving a plurality of vertically stacked, folded sheets of material (46) and includes a bottom surface (22), a forward wall (14) and a rear wall. The forward wall (14) and the rear wall are separated by spaced-apart side walls (18, 20). The bottom surface (22) defines a discharge opening (30) having a length dimension (A) greater than a width dimension (B). The discharge opening (30) is orientated such that the length dimension (A) is generally in a transverse orientation with respect to the orientation of the forward wall (14). The plurality of vertically stacked, folded sheets of material (46) within the housing are supported by the bottom surface (22). Each sheet (46) includes a leading edge (52) and a trailing edge separated by spaced-apart side edges (56). In the process of dispensing individual sheets from the dispenser (10), the side edges (56) of the sheets are urged inwardly by the width dimension (B) of the discharge opening as individual sheets pass through the opening (30).

The aperture comprises a central opening (32) and two relatively thin elongated openings (34) which extend out from either side of the central opening. The protuberance from one side of each opening is preferably located adjacent to the corresponding protuberance from the other side, in a staggered arrangement.

    摘要： A dispenser for a roll of web material (26) includes a housing (2), a base 12 to support the roll (26), and a tubular member (16) extending down from the base and closed at its outer end by a plate (18) having an aperture (20) therein, the aperture including a "slot" terminating at the apex (24) of the aperture.
    To allow a length of web material to be removed from the roll without injury to the user's hand and without wastage of web material, the aperture (20) is so configured that pulling the free end of the web material with a component of force in a horizontal direction causes the web material to be guided into the "slot" in which the web material wedges and is held, whereupon further application of force in the same direction causes the web material to tear at or below the slot.
