摘要:
Polyenylphosphatidylcholine in combination with an alkanolamine are topically applied to treat skin wounds, promote healing, and minimize scar formation. Typical compositions contain from about 0.25% to about 12% of a polyenylphosphatidylcholine preparation obtained from natural sources such as soybean oil which contains at least about 25% by weight, preferably about 40% or more, dilinoeoylphosphatidylcholine, and from about 0.1% to about 10% by weight of an alkanolamine such as ethylaminoethanol, methylaminoethanol, dimethylaminoethanol, isopropanolamine, triethanolamine, isopropanoldimethylamine ehtylethanolamine, 2-butanolamine, choline, serine, or mixtures thereof. Dimethylaminoethanol is a particularly preferred alkanolamine. Tyrosine is an adjunct ingredient in many embodiments.
摘要:
A method for the prevention and/or treatment of skin or hair damage, particularly inflammation and aging of skin and hair damage from sunlight and chemicals, in which a tocotrienol, a derivative thereof or a vitamin E preparation enriched with tocotrienol or a tocotrienol derivative, is topically applied to the exposed or affected skin or hair areas. A fat-soluble fatty acid ester of ascorbic acid such as palmityl ascorbate is preferably applied with the tocotrienol in association with a dermatologically acceptable carrier.
摘要:
Scar tissue is reduced or inhibited by application of a composition containing lipoic acid and/or a lipoic acid derivative such as dihydrolipoic acid, a lipoic or dihydrolipoic acid ester, a lipoic or dihydrolipoic acid amide, a lipoic or dihydrolipoic acid salt, and mixtures of any of these. Some compositions further comprise α-hydroxy acids or acid derivatives such as glycolic and/or lactic acid, fatty acid esters of ascorbic acid such as ascorbyl palmitate, and/or tocotrienol. In some embodiments, a silicone gel sheet with added lipoic acid and/or a lipoic acid derivative and optional other ingredients is topically applied to scar tissue to diminish them.
摘要:
Skin whitening compositions contain α-hydroxytetronic acid or α-hydroxytetronic derivative, and, in some cases, hydroquinone, an α-hydroxy acid such as glycolic acid, and a fatty acid ester of ascorbic acid such as ascorbyl palmitate.
摘要:
Fatty acid esters of ascorbic acid, particularly saturated fatty acid esters such as ascorbyl palmitate, their salts, ascorbic acid and its salts are solubilized in large amounts, e.g., up to about 25 % by weight, and stabilized using special solvent systems. Useful solvents include polyethylene glycol, ethoxydiglycol, propylene glycol, butylene glycol, propylene carbonate, glycerin, a capric glyceride, a caprylic glyceride, an alkyl lactate, an alkyl adipate, an isosorbide, and mixtures thereof. Preferred dermatological compositions made using these solvents with ascorbic acid and/or at least one of its derivatives also include dimethylaminoethanol, tyrosine, proline, cystine, a penetration enhancer such as oleic acid, urea or mixtures thereof, and at least one natural and/or chemical antioxidant. Natural antioxidants that contain at least about 50 % polyphenols and 50 % catachins such as grape seed or green tea extracts are employed in some embodiments.
摘要:
Dispersions containing from about 0.5% to about 30% by weight dispersed microfine calcined alumina, stainless steel, or gold particles typically having particle size of less than about 5µ, more narrowly 1µ or less, suspended in a cosmetically acceptable carrier are useful as sunblocks for skin and hair while simultaneously providing treatments that render skin and hair smoother, more uniform, lustrous, visually appealing and healthier-looking.

摘要:
The present invention relates to compositions and methods for transdermal drug delivery comprising formulating a phosphatidylcholine carrier composition containing the drug and applying the composition to the skin.
摘要:
A method for the therapeutic treatment or prevention of radiation-induced skin damage, particularly ultraviolet-induced skin burn (e.g., sunburn), in which an alpha-hydroxy acid, or a derivative thereof, is topically applied to the affected skin areas. Glycolic acid is employed in a preferred embodiment.
